CF doesn't offer cash refunds...which you would know if you read the disclaimer on the order page before you paid. The pad being broken on arrival sounds like a shipping issue. And just out of curiosity why aren't you also complaining about this on THEIR forums as well? Hmm? | Because im e-mailing the owner about my problem instead although he has yet to get back to me....., and the pad is responsive but the arrow placement is off and uneven on all the oanels, I figured I should tell some people about the problem I had with the pad so they would be forewarned. I guess if i'm stck with it ill just get a new working one and sell it on ebay or something. |

Hey I put two and two together and figured out that you did in fact post on the CF board. I hope it works out for you. Sorry for jumping down your throat.

Lazeballs: Here is the answer to your question, so far YES!
My full pad review will be up tomorrow but so far the pads are kickass!!! I only weigh 115, im 15 yrs old. but i can see no possible future arrow cracks, and so far no problems of any other nature have arrisen, and the things looks awesome. _________________

Those l.e.d. light ones, i had 2 of those, they are very good pads, although after a few months small cracks do start to develop in the plastic/plexiglass/whatever.... my girlfriend uses my old one (she weighs 105) and she managed to get cracks in every arrow, but they all still work fine (it's now about 10 months old). I modded mine a little by duct-taping a thin sheet metal under the arrows, instead of that crappy aluminum foil which breaks off and gets stuck in the sensors causing them to be held down (and not register anymore). You can simply clean those out every few weeks if you don't want to mod them, it's no big deal. These don't offer actual 'arcade feel', but they're a hell of a lot better than soft pads. Another thing, don't pull on the playstation cord or you might ruin/fry/break it, mine went dead after a month or so because i accidently pulled the wire a little and it messed up the circuit board or something. Ok I'm done rambling about my experience with that kind of metal pad, i hope i helped you make you're choice. Overall those are good pads though, just don't tighten the screws by the arrows to much (cracking), or pull on the wire (frying/shorting out) and you should be fine. |

Thinking about putting those BNS v2.51 metal pads on my Xmas list...Wizard, were those the ones you were talking about?
I've played on a CF, and it's a dream, but I can't justify that much $ at once for a single pad. $140, on the other hand, is reasonable.
Any insight regarding this pad? |

For your dilema i say go for it, you can find them by searching on ebay for dance pad metal. the image is a asian chick on a pad. the seller is neogames. i got mine for 130 INCLUDING shipping!!! go for the auctions not buy it now or the ones that start at like 122 because shiping is 40. same here dude i wish i could afford a CF, but hey these things are looking sweet as of now, the biggest mod you might ever have to do is 10 months from now an arrow translplant (i dont think ill need to though) or replace the tin tape with a good aluminum tape with good adhesive. thast like 5 bucks for tape, and i dont think arrows wil ver be an issue. _________________

Hi everyone,
I'm techno-dumb and need some quickie information.
On DDRhomepad's design, he used telephone wire, but suggested cat 5 wire since that's what almost everyone else uses, and it's highly available. My question is this, it contains 8 wires, so do I solder all 8 wires onto the sheet metal, or take the wire apart, and only use 1? I'm pretty sure I only use one part, but I don't wanna waste any wires.
Thanks,
Matt
Oh, and it suggested 15 feet of wire, does that mean i'll technically have 120 feet of cord when they're all pulled out? |

No, no... you keep all the little wires inside the big wire casing. On either end (the pad and the controller), you cut off the casing and work with the individual wires. On the arrows put a different one of the 8 little wires on each half of the connections (top or bottom), but before you put it on the controller, put all the bottom ones together to make a common ground wire. _________________

Ok, so I call them, and they give me this load of bull about how they dont gurantee the lights; if they work or not; thats why they don't say anything about lights on the site.
I try e-mailing them, and they give me the same exact trash.
When I open it up to try to find if any of the wiring was messed up, it turns out that they completely blocked off the circuit board! They bolted a huge clunk of wood on it.........
*Sigh* At least the arrows still work.......... |

Too bad you got those from Cyphergames. The Neogames pad on Ebay is exactly the same pad, but it has a reinforced frame (a metal bar around the edges) and the lights actually work _________________

oh oops, well ok i might not of had that exact brand, but it had little l.e.d. lights in it so eh, oh well close enough it was probably an older version of that pad.
