No its not about music but its good to see people giving this a shot. I'm very interested in the way you guys are interpreting this too, kinda fun.

No I don't have undeniable evidence that what I think it means is true but you'll admit once you see that its pretty unshakable.

I'm gonna give you guys one more big clue...

HISTORY

Frankly, I wouldn't put it past them considering the unbelievable legislation they're pushing for the purpose of making money.)

The way things are going today I wouldn't put it past them either disgust.gif

Historical event that happened on or revolved around a specific island that at least at the time was (maybe still is) officially part of Japan. I'm sure of that.

Definitely something to do with a foreign language... Wait a minute. Does this have anything to do with WWII?

From http://www.manythings.org/reading/011130am_t.htm:

Ok, that's my guess, it's about WWII, and it's from a Japanese perspective.

But the numbers... I've never been good with number "significance". Just throw me that one, if I'm right.

yes yes yes good happy.gif I'm so proud of you. B/c of this i guess i can give you the numbers E15.gif But i dont want you guys to stop now!

Quote:
35 plus 4 divided by 2

Think years when looking at this one

1935 hitler defied the treaty of versialles by enlarging the German armed forces, its also around this time that the holocaust really began. Add 4 years to that and your at 1939. In 1939 Hitler began world war II by attacking poland using his blitskreg tactics. This in turn created 2 sides, Germany and the Axis (russia at the time) and Britain, France and the other European nations. (allies) (you can also look at it as like... 2 sides to a now split germany.. the germans the the jews)

Now keep going, you guys are doing great happy.gif

Since Janken = Rock, paper, scissors it means that 5 countries were simply playing games with each other, but with higher stakes and balanced between countries. And from the game Hitler had huge opinions (about the jewish) and his plot to destroy them.

I know my wording is terrible but I think I got the jyst of it.

Quote:
Pack up the duties left to you, take it all gently,
Really, you don't have to worry if you extend over to this slow train.

This means the soldiers getting ready up but not rushing the war. With them being almost careless about what happens in the war that um...wasn't going anywhere?

Well thats what i think...

Ulta_pinoybboy: I really like your interpretation of the first bit. We came up with somthing a little bit different but we also didnt really know what janken meant riiight.gif

I think the "huge opinions" is prolly somthing more on the lines of world domination. Though hitler did hate the jews it was no reason to start a war.

I don't think i agree with you on this paragraph so much. We took it as more of a Holocaust thing. People just kinda living normally when they're forced to take all they have and move into the newly created ghettos. It was from there that they were sent by train to the concentration camps.

Damn it...At least we got close to 1939. (The only thing that I found out is that WWII started in 1939. I thought 35, 4, and 2 means months or dates.)

And for the rest of the lyrics...

Quote:
From a 5-match janken match

5 continents in a game of chance.

Quote:
high tension and a firm beat.

High tension in war, and firm beat...Troops marching.

Quote:
Everyone's winding chatter is a dangling handkerchief.

Surrenderness. (White flag or something.)

Quote:
An alteration in the radar and in the nonsense coming over the airwaves

War announcements?

Quote:
If you start snorin', your heartbeat that's goin' up as much as your personality changes

I guess that is self-explanatory if this song is about a war.

Quote:
Don Pach Don Pach Don Today, on this Japanese island where they're sexin' it up.

They say Doh Pach is gunfire.

I like what you guys came up with and im very proud but I think your wrong about this paragraph

Quote:
An alteration in the radar and in the nonsense coming over the airwaves,
If you start snorin', your heartbeat that's goin' up as much as your personality changes
Is really greedy, but there's power and land of the priest's staff
And since I was born, I've kept on playin' like this.

We took this as pearl harbor.

Quote:
An alteration in the radar and in the nonsense coming over the airwaves,

Take it literally, just before the attack we were fooling with radar. We noticed a blip on the screan and think its just a system malfunction.. in reality it was japanease fighters

Quote:
If you start snorin', your heartbeat that's goin' up as much as your personality changes

Hundreds of people died sleeping and after the attack america's "personality" changed and we became actively envolved in the war effort.

Quote:
Is really greedy, but there's power and land of the priest's staff

This one was hard but think medieval europe kinda thing. The king would present a high priest with a staff which alloted him power and land. Relating this to WWII we put Hitler in the king position and Japan as a priest. Hitler is offering Japan power and land (in the form of eastern asia) in return for help in the war effort. Think of this as like a reason for them entering the war and attacking pearl harbor.

Quote:
And since I was born, I've kept on playin' like this.

It's always been like this, it will always be like this... people have always done crazy things for a chance at a big pay off.

Quote:
That time, that time, I give respect, we'll break it all apart, yo, just like this example.

The moral of the story happy.gif. We respected what happened in world war II and we make efforts to prevent this from happening again. But war for the most part is enevitable and the world will "break apart" again. Just like it did during WW2.

I'm proud that you guys worked hard to figure this out. I think that the song is open for allot of interpretation (big opinions) but im certain that ww2 is the theme. happy.gif Again congratulations on figuring it out, this thread should now be used for talk and debate about certain parts of the song.

EDIT: I would've had a good point, had I not mistaken Archduke Ferdinand for a religious leader of some sort.

Could the Japanese island refer to a Japanese island in general where American/Allied soldiers (tie-in with the don pach/gun fire) sexually abused native Japanese women?
