Do you play DDR for the fun, or for the competition? I personaly play for fun

I used to play for competetion a lot. I loved it, but I found out it took a lot of time preparing routines. I just started to get back into tech. And this is when the AAA and SDG threads in Gameplay are dozens of pages long.

I have some catching up to do.

i definately play for fun! plus i only really do easy songs nowadays too

I prefer playing for fun, but the other players in my area pretty much force me to play competitively. I'm only the second best player in my area, but because the #1 best is so far ahead of me, people shoot for defeating me. So, whenever I play certain songs just because they're fun, I get guff from the other players about them beating it a long time ago.

Then they force me to play with them, and promptly get beaten, with me warning them all the while.

i always play for fun, but i'd LOVE to have competition, as there is only one guy (cosmomemory here at DDRF) that is about my level (he's a bit better than me, as he's been playing for about 7-8 months), but he doesn't play as much as i do, because he's too busy.

When I'm playing by myself, I like to challenge myself and work on my game seeing if I can improve my PA and cut those Great counts down. When I play with friends and regulars, it's competetion and fun. No matter how it goes, I learn to have fun and not take the game so serious all the time.

My PA is horrible.I almost have double the greats on all the songs.Just about.I only have 5 machine AA's.

I try to play for fun, but there's a lot of players that get at me because I don't play competitively, and it can get bad to the point where there's some angry people or me or friends have to leave. I'm not at the point where I should concern myself with playing competitively, after all I've only passed 1 cata, and it'll be a while before I get on a machine again.
