I don't know whats wrong with me but lately I've been getting these really bad headaches after I play DDR. I dont understand why though, I've been playing for 2 years, so why all of a sudden do I get them... I have a feeling its the backgrounds and not the lights because I get the headaches at home to. What can I do to make them go away... I dont wanna quit ddr E2.gif

1. Take a couple days off.

2. Drink a lot of water...like 1-2 gallons a day. Very healthy.

3. Consult your local physician (if it continues) E1.gif .

Hope you make it through this.

Agree with the above mentioned..

also At home on the console you can turn off the backrounds. go to options, look through there and it will say BG then turn BG off.

A hat? Huh? I would think a headache would be caused by a lack of water more than anything.

Well I think when I wear a hat and play all the heat is stored up in my head so it causes headaches..I dunno..All I know is when I stopped wearing a hat while playing my headaches went away.

What I think people don't usually realize is how much DDR scrambles your brain with all the jumping up and down you do. Try jumping up and down in place for an hour and see how your head feels. Another thing is that head-aches after exercise is a sign of dehydration. So drink about 4 glasses of water before you play and 4 glasses of water afterward...I'm sure you'll feel better.

Lack of food or water. However have you considered wearing color lens/shades. The bright lights can be annoying and be a strain on the eyes. I won't lie. I've done it. Saved my eyesight.

I think you need electrolytes. When you dance you sweat and when you sweat you loose electrolytes (like Na+ and Cl-) that are critical for your body and brain.

Drink something like gatorade or powerade that has water and electrolyes, or have water and a bananna or something.
