I was reading through a book about patents when I came to a section about arcade/video games.

You guys won't believe this. One of the very first patents involved a game that used a foot-control pad similar to DDR! I'm not making this up, this was back in the late 60s!

30+ years later...

I don't think it was made in the 60's, but I saw this pad for the NES in EB this one time. It was for world class track meet.

i think i found the actual patent DDR.... i put the patent on a floppy disk somewhere.... It showed the guys who came up with it and showed konami had rights to the game.... I found it when i was finding the history of ddr and it came to 7 1/2 pages of articles on ddr's history....

Yeah but that game was made by konami I had it too.
