Here's another silly, pointless topic - what songs would your favorite comic book or cartoon characters play if they played Dance Dance Revolution?
The ground rules:
1 - Due to its general nature, I recommend you not select Cartoon Heroes (Speedy Mix) for any specific character, not even Spiderman or Superman. See Rule 2 below.
2 - Post a minimum of 3 songs relating to a character or team, with the name or theme of the song tying directly to the name or characteristics of the character and/or team member. Basically, if one knows the character and the song, one should know why you selected that song for that character without an explanation needed.
3 - The songs should come from the current arcade version of DDR; currently, DDR EXTREME. Feel free to refer to the songlists at DDRFREAK.com (which is precisely what I'm doing.)
4 - I strongly recommend not selecting a song simply referring to a character's race or gender, unless the character has an unusual "race" such as being a Martian or an aardvark. Likewise, under no circumstances tie any character to Little B**ch.
Two examples to get this thing started...
EXAMPLE ONE: Alvin and the Chipmunks (Belsaurius[sp])
Yes, I know exactly what you're thinking: Witch Doctor. Of freaking COURSE Witch Doctor - they basically originated that song. The Chipmunks are the "Cartoons" of the group name. However, it would be far more creative to name songs which relate to the individual Chipmunks:
Alvin: A (Standard)
Simon: xenon (Light)
Theodore: I'm gonna get you! (Light) [explanation: I think he's the drummer.]
EXAMPLE TWO: The Justice League (DC, as interpreted by Cartoon Network)
Superman: Super Star (From Nonstop Megamix) (Challenge)
Batman: Celebrate Nite (Euro Trance Style) (Challenge)
Wonder Woman: Kind Lady (Heavy)
Green Lantern: Miracle Moon (LED Light Style) (Heavy)
The Flash: any of the MAX series (Heavy, 8x speed modifier)
Hawkgirl: Vanity Angel (Heavy)
Martian Manhunter: i feel... (Heavy)
...okay, some of my selections are sort of shaky; what would you select for your own characters?... _________________

Translation:
Choose someone you think is cool from tv, comics, etc.
If they were to play ddr, what would be their favourite/best song? _________________

you know, one would think that cartoon characters would dance to their own song, but then again they may secretly despise it. |

Indeed, if you look at the credits for Witch Doctor, there's a credit for David Seville. _________________

From Simpsons:
Apu - Exotic Ethnic (Heavy)
Bumblebee Man - La Bamba, La Copa De La Vida, La Senorita
Principal Skinner - Captain Jack (Standard)
Reverend Lovejoy - Heaven
Otto - Smoke or Higher
Lisa - On The Jazz or Speed Over Beethoven
Mr. Smithers - In The Navy '99
Mr. Burns - Boom Boom Dollar (Light...and you have to admit, the vocals might be what a young Mr. Burns would sound like)
Gary Coleman - Kung Fu Fighting (Heavy)
As for comic book characters, the only comic I read is Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, so . . . he'd probably do something without words, like Brilliant 2U. _________________

Maybe, but I like the idea of a super-fast song better. Besides, Flash In The Night is NOT in DDR Extreme. |
