Simple...carwash, carwash, carwash, oh yeah and once in a while a bakesale...just ask how much money teams and clubs raise in one event...then just do until you have enough for a DDR machine. Explain this to the school administrators that they would get to keep the money like the income from Pepsi/Coke machines and remind them that its healthy activity or something to that effect...maybe even start a DDR club at your school...if there was a DDR machine at my old h.s...I would go through h.s again...lol...

No offense but that is a really GHEY idea. NO school in there right minds would do such a krazi thing like that. Schools concentrate on edumactaional things as you can tell.

What is your problem? It's a fine idea, and it does work for other clubs and crap, esp. at my school, way too many clubs. e's bound to be at least 20-40 people in my school who want a machiene and would be willing to work to get it.

But that is beside the point. Which i have now forgotten... um yeah

Well consider this...what chances is there of a DDR Machine heading into a high school? College Campus's would approve the idea but High School? It's a whole different level...plus if your gonna buy one....why buy one? just rent one instead...cheaper and it's less cost comsuming. $100 a month is better than paying $5000 for it or just start a DDR Club and use the PS2 dance pads instead, better than trying to get a machine and have to go through the student council.

Maybe in middle school we could have gotten a machine, but in Highschool, theres probably so many anti DDR people out there the machine would be vandalized the first night it was there.

My school considered doing that, but it never got farther than that. They had some budget cuts and decided they couldn't drop $4000 for a new machine in the weight room.

Poetic Raven and I talked about that (we go to the same school). We told our PE coach we need an Extreme machine in the gym or the weight room. He told us to finish working out. disgust.gif PE sucks. When it's an elective, I'm dropping it for something else. That is, if my mom doesn't kill me for dropping it.

Quotes from if we had an Extreme machine:

Headmaster: Why are you playing games in school?
Me: Sir, LOM Heavy is part of the workout!

laugh.gif Too bad. Can I cry now?

i saw an article on www.techtv.com stating that a few schools in california bought ddrs for pe.... why i was i born on the east coast?...

anyways i like the idea but i'd suggest this first,

1. talk to principal and see if they mind [metion fund raising for it and they keep money]
2. if they say no petition riiight.gif
3. If yes make a goal for you to reach and make some profits.... my school's newspaper gets a ton of money by just buying tons pizzas and selling them at $1 a slice....
4. Get the machine and make sure you get first dibbs biggrin.gif

that must mean those schools are GHEY (spelled that way) too.

ghey does not exist in the dictionary.

implying that--

those schools do not exist.

which means--

there is NO school with a DDR machine

Personally I think schools who would get a DDR machine, is out of their minds, but hell, that'd be pretty sweet.

I could understand if a college or university got one for their stundent acivites center, but and High School? Pfft, you don't really have the time while you are there to play a stupid arrow smashing game...

I think I am going to plan to start a DDR Club here in my HS. We will probably just use Cobalt Flux pads and just have fun doing something together after school.

I mean we already have a Dungeons and Dragons Club... why not DDR?

Actually, there are at least 2 or 3 high schools that I know of here in Southern California that substitute DDR as a form of Physical Education. Instead of sweating out in the hot, disgusting track field, you could just play in the Gym, which is air conditioned, and you just getup and go.

That's not a bad idea, putting it in the weight room... oh wait, yes it is. I make up one-half of the DDR players in my town. Everyone else thinks it's gay.

yah i might start that with our school. if you want to really persuade ur princeable bring your home version play a simple one, than a really hard one that makes you sweet and show him how much calerioes are lost.

west coast has more ddr machines cuz there is a "its always warm" factor. in the east people will bring boots in the winter and wanna play. so theres a problem. frust.gif
