Have you ever seen someone do a freestyle and claim it to be there own, when in reality they took it from a video or somthing they've seen? It can get pretty annoying... especially if they try and defend themselves. So what free styles have you seen play out?

Well, I more often see the same style used in a freestyle. Some peoples styles are very defined, so seeing them again reminds me of the original person who does that style.

Somebody on the e.coast (Florida?) did a Drunken Style routine about a year after I did mine. He had no clue till people started teling him. Just coincidence.

the only things that haven't been done.. are the things that can't be done.. or would be totally impractical to do......

nothing in this world is original anymore... and those that WERE original are merely modified, in a world that is percieved and defined by our own opinions, how can u possibly label something as original or not?

sorry i'm babbling..

anywayz, Nothing is original and anything that is, will only be once, so do what u like to do, and if u can't dance as good as someone else, copy someone, and if anyone rips of you for biting, they're mad cuz they can't bite as well as u E13.gif

I've heard of a certain player in my area that tried to do elements of my "Let's Groove" routine. But I haven't seen it personally.

Actually, no style is original. However, to say that someone's specific move is not original would be somewhat of an insult. But aside from that, most moves on done of the ddr pad have already been done off of it. The only difference is that your required more or less to hit arrows in the process of doing it. So hence, there is a difference between being original dancer and an original ddr dancer.

I can understand how it would be annoying having come up with either a routine or series of moves and then see someone else or head about someone else doing the same thing you did and claiming it was their own. There is the possibility that they could have taken it knowing full well where it came from. But also there could be the chance that they didn't now where it came from and came up with something that was simmilart but not exactily what you came up with. Could be either I suppose as there is the chance for both here. E1.gif
