I need help in finding a way to keep two Ignition Pads together so that they won't seperate when playing doubles. Also, since I'm using a carpet floor, is it better to use duct tape to fasten each pad since the non-slip pads on each corner of the mat are garbage when used in a carpet?

Yeah that would be a good idea, or you could duct tape them to a piece of plywood.

I used to duct tape my pads to the carpet and they would stick nicely. I never really had any problem with them bunching up, sliding, or having problems with their ability to respond.

I cut two pieces of plywood slightly bigger than the pads. I then got sets of brackets (those kind with a lever that you can snap together) and screwed those into the wood at both ends of the wood so I could snap the two pieces together. I then duct taped my pads to the wood, and voila, perfect place to play double.

I also need to know how to keep my ignition from slipping, I was thinking velcro. I tried my bros velcro shoes on the carpet and they stuck well

I have that same problem too, and I have the cheapy pads[Im getting too anxious waiting for my Ignitions to arrive]. If I were to do that duct tape-and-plywood thing, wouldn't that make my pads hard and my feet hurt?

The ignitions have the foam insert, so no.

I did the velcro solution (only about 2.50) and it works like a charm,
