I didn't say anything about the step patterns. What songs from their original versions, did Konami end up screwing over with a remix is the question.

Konami diddn't do this one but I Think Bus Stop KILLED The Swing with whe remix Swing It. Oh, and it hurts me to think Witch Doctor can be mutilated so badly.

End of the Century... I don't think it's possible to remix Ode to Joy and have it sound good. Maybe it's just those women singing in the backround, that was terrible.

the women could have been replaced with hamsters (that would be funny).
think of the song in a high pitched voice.

L' Amour Et l' liberte sucks on DDR. The IIDX version is WAY better. It seems they took out all the cool stuff (the whispers and piano) and added more bass and steps that are possible one of the hardest songs to PA under 10 footers.

Why does everyone make this argument? The song itself always sucked. And the whole "the For Extreme songs are totally ruined" argument doesn't hold water as far as I'm concerned.

Tavares - It Only Takes a Minute

They took out all those newfangled "actual instruments" and added that cheap opening synth instrument and random dinging. Stupid 3rd mix.

Vocals are still okay, though...and they did do it justice with A Minute, so I shouldn't be complaining.

Strictly Business has a bunch of continual, randomly placed basic steps. Not freestylable enough. =\

Like half the songs that were mentioned in this thread aren't even done by KONAMI.

Thank you, Syxx! Although it's probably closer to, oh, 80%. The only songs Konami can screw up are Konami Originals, and even then, they can only screw up remixes. You can't complain that they messed up Afronova, because there was no non-Bemani song to base it on. You can complain at them for the cut of the song that ended up on DDR, but pointing your finger at them for the way Witch Doctor got remixed is just pointless.

Of course the obvious ones that I've noticed...right off the bat...

-Frozen Ray - Faint Piano
-Breakdown! - Soundwise (I will agree with that)
-Some say L'amour et la liberte - I honestly like the DDR version better. But the steps. ..n'est pas bon.
-Strictly Business - One of the tightest sounding songs on DDR but the steps (Like someone said, Boring. I couldnt agree more)
-Legend Of Max - Maybe not killed but the steps seemed easier than I thought
-Paranoia Survivor Max - Aside from the suprise slow down towards the end...what's the point? The Oni steps were another story. Oh boy.

That's all I can think of for now...

Do you mean stepwise or musicwise? Personally, I liked the DDR Miracle Moon but, eh, whatever floats your boat.

Stepwise it is just another boring 7 foot song.

Songwise it is a big disapointment to me, cause i loved the one from Beatmania ans was looking forward to playinf it on ddr. Then i played it. Booooooooooo.

If you want steps that Konami messed up look no further than Shinning Polaris and More Deep. I am not saying that every song should be as hard as say So Deep, but man those two songs seemed like the were barley thought about and just put in there.
