DDR at karaoke

Okay, I'm sure this is going to sound really stupid, but I just thought I should find a way to post this.
I was at my regular karaoke night this past week and my friends suggested that I should sing "Heaven" since I had been playing it nonstop since I bought the home Max2. Well, I get up there and low and behold, instead of seeing the words on the screen, I saw arrows. The Heavy steps if I'm correct. Thank God I knew the song well enough.

Has this happened to anyone else? You heard a song or were singing one (doesn't exactly have to be at karaoke) and you saw the step patterns?

Yeah I don't think that is possible why would they have karaoke with steps instead of words?Unless maybe you had a bad trip on those shroom's you ate.

At Cyberzone in LA, they have a karaoke booth, and if you look through the booklet verrrry carefully, you can find both Boys & Butterfly by smile.dk in the book. While I didn't see arrows while "playing' the karaoke game, me and my friend laughed our asses off while trying to hold a tune

You aren't alone. At random points during the day, when I look at wallpaper or something, I'll see the step chart for "Crash!". It really freaks me out. I feel like some kind of Vietnam vet or something. I've been considering quitting my medicine.

But I've never seen them instead of words or anything. It all just makes me wonder what it would sound like for someone to sing DDR arrows. How would they do jumps?

When i first started playing, all i could ever see when i close my eyes were steps going up in my head, doesnt happen anymore though.

well, it's good to see that i'm not alone when it comes to seeing arrows in the strangest of places....
i should like to mention that this karaoke place i got to does have Long Train Runnin' and it takes all of my self control to not yell "DJ Beat the Retard!" (dj bring the beat on!) whenever it's sung.
