Look To The Sky is my all-time trance favorite.
I love all the versions, though the original is the absolute favorite.
By the way, I LOVE trance songs!
As for what is a trance song, I'm just going to see what the Information screens on the DDRMAX and MAX2 US games tell me.
And for other trance songs I particularly like (and I know these are trance):
Dark Black Forest
Insertion
Ordinary World
true... (Trance Sunrise Mix)
Trance de Janeiro (spelling?)
The Whistle Song (according to Endangered Species) _________________

era (nostal mix) and Look to the Sky, if they are both considered trance (Look to the sky sounds more like a straight techno song though).

haha i get the feeling that eventually people are going to come out saying that songs like "Cowgirl", "Max300", and "Secret Rendezvous" are trance. seriously *coughendangeredspecies - which is exactly what people like you are, its called Darwinismcough* just because a song has an "electronic" sound, doesnt mean its friggin trance.
the whistle song? thats EXACTLY the type of music that was popular in the early '90's in dance clubs. its friggin club techno. you can argue all you want, but its a fact any any argument only shows ignorance.
drop the bomb - system sf mix -? hmm..lets see, heavy bass line, harder beats, wow, it sounds like heavy techno to me. maybe thats not your little "trance buddy's" professional term for it, but it sure as hell aint trance. and im sorry, but saying that its trance but just not "commonplace trance" is like saying that friggin n'sync is metal. its just not your *commonplace metal*.
and hwguy - i admire your love for techno, but look at where you are. a public message board full of an average of what, 16 year olds maybe? who arent going to know the extensive history of what is officially deemed "techno". i merely give the term techno to the general genre of music composed at least mostly of original beats put together to make a song. often with little-no, or sampled vocals. a general definition of techno that allows for bigger differences to be given different terms.
(oh, and you also cant judge a song based on its bpm. you'd be suprised what certain people can pull off.) _________________
