I installed DWI and got about 140 songs last night and I was TOTALLY hooked. ( my fingers are sore )
Ok, now I am ready to make the next step... buying the pad adaptor
My question to my fellow DDR Freaks is
1. what is the BEST simulator ( DWI or Stepmania )
2. what is the best adaptor ( givn the fact tht I want to have two people play at once )
I guess tht is it but if you can think of anymore "BESTs" that would be very helpful
thanx |

Best sim, I'm sure most would agree is StepMania. It's kind of CPU intensive though, IMO it's only downside.
Adapters, there's no real BEST adapter, the ones that work are the best. Be sure and do a little research before you buy one, only some of them work for playing DDR on PC. I have a Super Dual Box, it works perfectly.
Adapter Compatibility:

We don't talk about that here. Just try both out, they are both free.
And that goes for the rest of you, no fighting about which is better in here. _________________

for my personal opinion, it depends on your system.
for some people with not alot of power, dwi is good
for a power machine, stepmania is.
but phrek a quick question though, since you talk to frieza more than any of us, has there been a final word on the outcome of a bs/IIDX support to step mania, and if there is, will they be running if under the .dwi/.sm format, or under a different filename set |
