I saw JSB play in Albany, NY this past weekend in a tournament. He got 9 greats on The Legend of Maxx or something like that, so I'll go with him.

GPF Lith (the guy is good)

JSB (yeah yeah, we know)

Chronoluge (come on, 2 greats on Max 300 and AAAing Cartoon heroes)

Dyaus (local player who has SDG'd every single 9 foot song and below, with 4 greats on Sakura)

Dancing Jedi (another local player with lots of skillz)

Tigger (he definently put up a good fight against Lith at B3)

Lots of NorCal and SoCal players (daaaaaaaaaammmmmmnnnnnnn)

NW bemani crew. W3rd.

DDR Freak should have a national tournament with invitations going out to the 10 best players in each state. The individuals would have to be voted the best in a huge poll for each state.

Yeah it's complex, but how awesome would that be?

I don't understand how some frig tournament way in the corner of the country is going to show who's the best out of all 50 states. Not everyone can afford/has the time to go out to the badlands to prove that they are the best.

I'd say JSB. Stop whining about his attitude for a second and look... He got 9 greats on LOM, one miss on Maxx...he can AAA near anything (cartoon heroes etc) and he doesn't touch the bar (I know people don't care so much about this, but it doesn't hurt to say it) I think he is the best, and he can back his poopy up, which gives him extra credit in my books.
