O-Yama,

Thanx so much for the codes! They worked just fine on the Drum Mania 8th and Guitar Freaks 9th machines in Milpitas Golfland. Looks like the codes are good for both DM and PF.

Hey, I know 3rd Mix is old news, but that's all we got down here. (Well, we have 8th Mix, but that's a good 30 Minutes drive I cannot make everyday...) Anyway, what justifies a SS? I'm thinking Full Combo, and no Goods, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, I think that's the requirement for scoring a SS. Guitar Freaks 4th uses a very different scoring method, though. I've gotten a SS with all Cools except for one Bad.

Too bad the workers at the arcade think I'm crazy. laugh.gif

Will they be on the next mix maybe? I need my Happy Man!

Also It'd be nice if they brought back PPR (long version) as I've never played it on drums. (is it challenging?)

And finally, I'd just like to say good for you, being able to stand up and play this game! I'm way too tall to do that. But, it's gotta be hard.

PPR Long Version is still fun, though. Just not a "play a lot" song^_^

O2K-Sure thing man. Glad I could help.

Well, we're still waiting for Konami to bring the site for DM9th online...but once it does, you'll see plenty of options here.^_~

Until then, make yourself comfortable and yo~!

Seen the DM10 and PF9 website. It's so cool. The game has fresh graphics (background color is blue just like DM6 and GF7). There are lots of other things however, I'm not sure about the e-amusement system. I don't know if it will work in the Philippines and I don't know if there are people selling E-amusement entry cards? But I think this is way better than DM8 and GF9...maybe, I don't know. Our local arcade in Makati, Q Power Station might buy a new mix but we still don't know what mix? I can't wait for a new mix to arrive here.

Wait for 9th. 8th is very disappointing. (to me at least)

Too many songs that are either way too easy or too hard. Not enough songs that are just fun to play.

Couldn't agree more. I'm not a precussionist (never knew how to play the drums and not-so-recently got into DM), and I can pass almost all of the songs on Real on our DM3rd Mix machine here (I know, it's not much...). But in another location, we have 8th, and I've tried it here and there. I agree with it being either too easy or too hard. I found myself passing some, and aching in others. The songlist isn't too interesting either. I only liked begin, Break Down, Pot Pourri D'Orange, and watching someone play Model DD4 (Yeah, like there is anyway I could do that E15.gif ). I looked at the 9th songlist and I'm eagerly awaiting for it to make it's debut here...

IMO, 8th mix was a nice change over 7th mix. The rolls are much trickier and emphasizes more on technique, unlike 7th which is all brute force and stamina, hell, you could full combo all the new songs in 7th.

I have to agree tho that my first chance upon dm8th, i was able to play the top first half of the songs with er... relative 'ease', but the lower half totally owned me arse for weeks. i havent taken that much beating since 6th mix which currently holds second place in terms of difficulty, 8th being first.(for me anyway...)

Btw, anyone knows any DM in Anaheim, Las Vegas or Cali? would appreciate any directions, much thanks. riiight.gif

Well, I consider myself pretty good. I don't know, cause, I have basically S'ed everything on PF7th on Extreme, with the exception of a few. e.g. Children's Sketchbook, Least 100 Sec, Herring Roe, etc... I can pass them all except Sketchbook, and 100 Sec. Plus I haven't seen any of the songs been played, so I wouldn't know how hard they are. I think I would wait for 9th E7.gif

It's not so much of the difficulty as the replay value. There are quite a couple of good songs, but not enough to make up many songs that aren't that fun to play.

So are the home versions worth getting? I fell in love with this game (PF 3rd) this weekend, but it's far away from me. If so, which mix is the best to get first?
