What is the second pad (give me a link)? The best one out of those is the first one. I have it and it works great (I can pass 10 footers). Definetly get the first one.

Judging by your lack of understanding of a "10 Footer" (Which is the difficulty level of a song, there are 8 ten foot songs right now, hardest in the game, we call them "pies" here) the pad you get probably wouldn't matter too much, soft pads become useless if you begin to get serious about getting all perfect ratings on steps (Perfect Attack, also known as PA) or if you begin to pass catas (Catas is short for Catastrophic, the name given to 9 foot songs, no longer in use in newer mixes).
So yeah, just get Max2 and the Konami pad that comes bundled with it. _________________

Can you post a link to a US retailer that sells the mat?

I wanted the link because the name you gave for it was too vague, that pad is a cyphergames ignition. Nobody calls it by the name on the site because it is too vague (people won't know what specific ignition you are referring to). If though you are a beginner (I assume this because you don't know what a 10 footer is) you should still buy the BNS ignition.
