HELP! About home pads please help!!! Soft or metal?????

I have 2 soft pads 1 has too much foam in it and the other one is perfect. I have been using it for a couple of months about once every day! I have noticed that is is becoming less senstive is this normal??? I want a metal pad but are they any good??? do you use youre shoes with them?[/b]

ok well no matters what you do your soft pads are gonna break eventually so dont feel bad(heavy songs tend to kill it 3 times as fast)
as for metal pads i was told they will break too but i was told they worked pretty well. you can where shoes on metal pads but...of course it will break it so much faster. so you just have to consider wantin to risk your pad for shoes
also keep in mind the pad may not be gettin less acurate it might just be you messin up. what kind of pad is it? because the middle section to me is bigger than it is at the arcade causing me to miss my down arrows alot.
