Is Dancing Stage Megamix (PAL) the same as any of the DDR games?

the're both made by konami, and my theory is that DSM is just the PAL version of DDR.

Right you are! Max 2 USA uses DS:Megamix's engine. Therefore, Megamix has a max 2 interface adn whatnot and don't forget completely different songs.

frow what i've heard from a friend, some of the songs in DSM are the same as one of the DDR (i didn't bother asking which)
