wow, I can't believe I haven't seen this thread until now...haha
Well, I guess I'll give a little intro about myself:
I've been playing KBM for a bit over a year now. I've only played 3rd mix so I only know those songs. But I've played some older songs on DoReMi...I'm not the best KBM player, but I'm ok...
Acheivements?
-SS on Depend on Me, Real
-A on Henry Henry, Double light+
-Bare Pass on Akumajo, Real
And I think I can pass all songs on light+ on 3rd mix...i think....
I've been trying to play more Double songs but I can't seem to pass anything but Henry Henry. Probably cuz of its synchronization. But anybody got tips on how to play double?
ANd for the high scores on the arcade machine...I don't get what all the different sections are, other than light and real...any help? _________________

Sorry, double-post
Well, it was until I remembered something I forgot
For all you KBM fans out there. I recently started a KBM fanlisting. Now it''s approved by FL.org, so you can all go check it out:

I hope it's okay to post about Keyboardmania "Yamaha" edition here. Considering this is a general keyboardmania thread. I still haven't found out what keyboards the damn thing will support. Since it's just software, it should work with Yamaha's endless line of portable keyboards right? I'm getting one in november cuz I play the piano, and hopefully I can get the KBM Yamaha edition software so I won't have to import the JPS2 versions of KBM, as I'm allready saving for other stuff right now. _________________

Questions:
KBM II (CS version of 2nd and 3rd bundled together) is definitely worth it out of the two. KBM 1st is actually cool too, but since you claim you play 3rd at the arcade, the 1st interface and such may seem like at step down.
As for the Yamaha Edition. Supposedly it supports all versions the CS ones did, as well as two other ones (I think one just came out...can't remember the model).
As for the score thing...I assume you're refering to the Nonstop Scores... _________________

I was wondering where I can get a Keyboard for Keyboardmania that will work on a US PS2. I found the game with the Keyboard but the website said it will only work on a JP PS2
http://www.toysnjoys.com/psx2/keyboardmania.html
Thanks

unfortunately, only Yamaha edition for PC is available for US release. All of the console versions are for JP PS2 (hugs KBM/II and keyboard) this game is actually pretty boss. Sucks that Konami axed it, especially since it was still mad popular in japan when it went the way of the dodo. _________________

I probally should have been a little more specific, I do have a modded Ps2. I want to get KM, I seen a bundle I want to buy KM2+Keyboard. I just wanted to know if the Keyboard that comes in the bundle would work on my PS2 because the one site said, I assume when it said Japan only in the decription it ment the Keyboard. So if anyone has KM with the Keyboard and it works on a Modded US PS2 Let me know.
Thanks a lot

Actually, that's a good question which I don't know the complete answer. All the people I know have an official JPS2, but I'm not sure if the Official Konami Keyboard has any region specifics. I'm going to assume that it should work, because this is the first time I heard this come up, and I'm guessing that those with modded PS2s never encountered this problem, therefore didn't ask it...
But that's just coming from me, anyway... _________________

I would think that the Keyboard wouldnt know the difference, I know that the Beatmania, DrumMania and Guitar Freaks Controllers all work on modded systems I just dont know about the Keyboard, I just wanted to make sure before I spent 140$ on KM2 and the Keyboard. I guess I could take the chance and if it doesnt I could put it on ebay. =)

If anyone wants an honest review of KBM Yamaha, and what it can do, I'm picking up and EZ250i this weekend with the software. The keyboard in it's own isn't that bad, from what I've read. And I could use it to get some practice becuase I haven't played piano in quite a while and am primarily getting it to hone my skills at a reasonable price (Still saving for that $5,000 keyboard & Digital recording studio). _________________

I honestly can't think of one controller or memory card that won't work on a modded PS2.
I don't see why the KBM controller would be any different. |

Hey Duggy88!
The Breeze & Rapid Selection on KeyboardMania 3rd mix arcade machine are Pressure Mode courses. Think of playing Expert or Internet ranking modes on those Beatmania IIDX machines, only this time on a KeyboardMania machine. So if you start missing notes, you won't regain those health bars. But in order to get those Pressure Modes, you have to put a code in (just like DDR). Is that a trip or what? Please reply, over! Thanks!
