Barbie Young vs. Aqua

Yeah, so I remember threads in the olden days that brought up the question as to which artists are "real" artists (meaning they have a career outside of BEMANI games) and which are offshoots of Konami.

While digging through Amazon.com I wandered across Aqua (of "Barbie Girl" fame) and found that their last CD sported a slower, non-mix version of "Cartoon Heroes." Now, Barbie Young and Aqua sound strangely similar.... Is there some correlation between the two or is Barbie Young nothing more than a person who covered/remixed a pre-existing song?

Just a question of ponderance.

Aqua did the song originally (that version of cartoon heros is the original), and Barbie Young covered it.

What fuels the fire of the "Is Barbie Young really part of Aqua?" question is because Aqua broke up in I think-- 1999? About a year after their second album came out. So feasibly, the members are freed up to work on other projects...

No, not really most of the real songs used in the game are done by real artists and some will do and go under a different alias. Aqua is the group who did the song Cartoon Heroes, the original which I don't like too much at all. Barbie Young, who I don't really know much about did the song but the speedy version of it.
