I hate "Other Bemani" people that walk up to you when you're about to play and act as if they've outgrown DDR because they got bored of mastering it. _________________

Yeah, so this one time I went to Disneyland, and I was playing Daikenkai Oni and got below 5 greats and my friend AAed bag x1 shuffle flat and my other friend got an A on PSM Oni double and we ended up with $5+ in tips. It was awesome. |
Don't forget the 8 fastpasses to Indiana Jones We got on there twice between 10 and 11 <3 _________________

oooh oooh i have a pet peeve!
anti speed mod and anti bar people
not that i care if they exist, but if they talk shit about it when they can't do better, then they are a pet peeve.
Examples: jynx, Guido -Funnel Cake Mix-
non example: bemaniac, who hates the bar but is hella good without it as well. |

people who put their coin up right when I'm in the middle of a song
people who want me to move my backpack off of the opposite pad because they want to shadow (why do you think it's there to begin with?)

<<ppl who place the token/coin on the screen to get into the coin line whilst someone is in the middle of playing. Christ you're blocking the f*n screen! Wait til the person is done with that song. Geez how rude. >>
I do that, but I come to the side of the machine and put the coin at the corner. It does no harm in blocking the screen.
<<people who talk sh!t about ddr players/ddr games, but can't play them at all, or haven't even tried to play them.>>
THANK YOU! I came across A LOT of people like that at Otakon and I embarassed them by saying, "Oh, I'm cosplaying Yuni from DDR. Thanks for your input!" And walked off in a cute, schoolgirl fashion. _________________

Oh, i didn't have anything for this topic until last night. All because of one *censored word of hatred* >.>
-People that come up while you're playing and declare how much they love this song, ask questions, and say how good they are at the song. I just wanna play some ddr. You can ask you're twenty questions AFTER I'm done with my song.
-People who get up on your pad. You're playing a song, so they decide to come up right between the bars and stand in your way. Boy, that's a great way to get yourself hurt you twit.
-People who not only talk to you during songs, but yell at somone 3 feet away right into your ear. You know, you could have gotten OFF the pad im using, walked over to the next machine (Soul Calibur 2) and talked to him instead of disturbing the entire arcade.
-People who act like they're awesome. This includes people who come up and say they're really good at the song you're playing when they're not (ex. you know because you're doing heavy and they're doing light) and can full combo it on heavy. Also, the people who are dancing to a light, but act like they're the best in the arcade when they can only get a 32 combo tops. Making wierd hand gestures, trying to FS (to this person that was putting your hands in the shape of guns x_x ) and screaming "that should have been a C!"
Seriously, this was all one guy . I never met a bad DDR person until this guy. Finally, everyone got so sick of him we all told him to shut up for the rest of the night _________________

1. People who keep moving back to the middle of the pad... especially when the steps are quarter notes alternating left and right.
2. People who simply jump up and down repeatedly while moving their feet to hit the correct arrows
3. People who refuse to try a harder difficulty
4. People who pick the same song every single time, or refuse to pick songs they've never heard of... I saw these two maybe 10-year-old girls playing once... they picked the same three songs every single time... and none of them were any good
5. People who bar rape on beginner (same 10-year-old girls as above)... or light... or 99.9% of standard songs
6. People who have no concept of tempo or rhythm and therefore rush every step, especially on eighth and sixteenth notes, and end up stomping randomly and getting nearly twice as many greats than perfects
7. How the dancers in beginner and training modes always return to the middle of the pad... way to show people how to play the game incorrectly and make them have to relearn their technique when they want to try harder songs _________________

I also have more pet peeves,
Noobs
I refuse to play with people I don't know, especially noobs cause I don't think they can hang with me. And I can't stand watchin people suck while I beat their butt at DDR. I don't like noobs who don't learn from their mistakes.
Noobs who always keep their feet in the middle after hitting an arrow. _________________

Well, when people played novelty songs like Witch Doctor, it used to bother me. Now the only things are toddlers crawling up on the machine (I pretend not to notice and push them off with my free leg) and f*cktards who think it's cool to hit the down arrow while you're playing. Luckily, no one would try that with me... ...this is what I play in. _________________

Argh!! I hate parents who don't learn to be responsible for their children, seriously. One time I was playing Doubles and this little kid is on the pad and I moved him outta the way. Kids don't learn and when they get hurt don't be blamin us players when we stomp on you. Take responsibilty and quit letting them roam around and causing trouble.

It gives me more reasons not to play with you, talk to you, or being your friend. I seriously hate people who shadow you when playing. If you wanna actually play put the coin in and play or get SM/PS2 and play it there. And sit your buttocks down and quit mimicking others, I sometimes feel I should bring a crowbar and knock all of them out for doing that.

Yeah, I hate people with no class and manners. Grow up people!! I would've love to tell someone to kick them out and not come back. I was playing Doubles one time and some prick in his teens jumps on there showing me up. He isn't good, but I really felt like kickin the livin crap outta him for being a prick. _________________

I can't stand how fat people think they're so great when they stomp the sh*t out of the Dance pad. They're begginers, which I understand that, but even if I tell them to be more gentle, those fat fux insist to stomp! Then they get sweaty and leave thier fat juices' all over the game. And as they leave, they say,"That game is so gay, I could do that with my eyes closed"

I hate people who: 1. Stand on YOUR pad while they're versing YOU, 2. call you "gay" for playing the game, when they've never touched an arrow in their f-life, 3. people who think they're the s|-|i'][' when they just completed a basic and try to smear it in your face after they've gotten a C on it, & then you go up there, OWN them, & then they say, "damn pad" or my favorite, "yer gay." that's just arrogant to say something like that when you've just met your maker, I think a nice nod of the head or a "nice skills" would do fine, but NO, they have to be <insert any word that comes to mind here>'s about it... _________________

One word: Egos.
With that said, my problems lie around here:
- Heavy players who expect you to be on their level, and laugh at you if you haven't passed a song they have, yet it's obvious they're better than you. My example being me able to handle some 8 footers, and the other person able to pass 10. He obviously looked down on me for not being able to pass Max 300 on Standard, only because I haven't even tried.
- Heavy players that refuse to choose songs other than ones you're not ready to handle yet, say nothing but 9 and 10 footers. Not as the last song, the FIRST song, and get at you if you set the difficulty lower for yourself. I've only been able to do one cata and pass it. I'll suicide the last song, not the first. Until I can handle catas and 10 footers, this will continue to be a peeve of mine for a while.
- And when they fail, they act as if that's the first song they've failed. "I never fail!"
- Players who think their race makes them more superior at the game, regardless of what race they are. White, black, mexican, asian, red, blue, green, yellow, you know what I mean.
- People who shadow and make up their own steps for the songs on purpose, and don't go anywhere with the original.
- Newbies who keep complaining that "the music" sucks regardless of the song, usually music that sounds ORIGINAL and not the same stuff on the radio.
- Newbies who refuse to play anything other than licensed songs. Haven't seen too much of that around.
- La Copa De La Vida. Only song that newbies play on Extreme.
- With the above said, when newbies walk away after a Heavy player comes in. So I come in and a girl and guy are trying to learn how to play, beginner mode. I just try to offer them help, like not to put both feet in the center, the arrows correspond to the beat, and what both arrows mean. The guy gives up and lets me have his game. So I switch to Heavy and I play La Copa De La Vida, since that's what the girl chooses. Not that hard, and the girl just quits as she sees my arrows, doesn't pay attention to hers. They give up and leave before the song ends, it wasn't like I was pushing it in their face or being rude at all. I guess they took the "versus play" too literally.
- Freestylers who are horrible at freestyling, those who get grades like D's and E's or several misses in a row, and act like they're all that.
- Freestylers that have a "routine" and when they forget the next part of their routine, get off the machine and leave in the middle of a song.
- People at light or standard that get only one great, no perfects, and everything else is lower. Nothing against them, but sometimes it's too painful to watch. |
