I watched some of them videos that are on this site and I was wondering if they were doing them songs on heavy while they were looking at the crowd and doing all that stuff? In tournaments do you have to play songs on a set difficulty or anyone you want to?
Thanks

Songs can be done to any difficulty they like.

I am going to have to disagree in a tournament setting at least.

Many tournaments do not allow beginner steps (DDR Extreme) for the arguement that there isn't enough steps. However, I believe beginner is not only for teaching DDR but for freestyling because DDR Extreme is an overall harder mix in general.

There are also competetions where they have a minimum arrow requirement, usually somewhere around 90 arrows.

Usually the "beginner mode that doesn't allow failure" (I guess thats DDR X) is not allowed and there is a minimum step rule and criteria for edits.

Hey, someone told me before, but how do you modify a edit so you can play it on a machine.

Ex: like if I made a edit for Groove2001 on konamix. How would I play it on 7th?

Honestly I forgot. But it has something to do with the memory card manager function. It allows you to transfer you MAX, MAX2 edit data from your PS2 card to a PS1 card.

The one legged guy FS'ing to Stomp To My Beat maniac on his crutches impressed me the most.

Ah yes, the "batman" vid. That was good. And about the edits working on the machine. Check the DDR Arcade forum, Cutriss has a FAQ in there all about it, you can ask him questions there.

Trick Little no Freeze. And it 4 hours the day before the tournament. Which is a record for me. Previously, I was working on a routine for Insertion for 3 months and scrapped it 3 days before the tournament.

I thought it was an edit. That was a hella good performance.

At the current time of that performance, it was impossible to make an edit for Drifiting Away and people STILL thought it was an edit.

They just don't realize the shear POWER of Trick Little sometimes.
