I HATE BAR HUGGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MARIO BROS., I DON'T CARE IF YASU AAA'ED MAX 300 WITH THE BAR. IT JUST PROVES THAT EVEN HE NEEDS HELP TO DO STUFF! I'M NOT THE BEST, BUT I NEVER USE THE BAR! I THINK THAT IF YOU USE THE BAR, YOU AREN'T SKILLED ENOUGH TO DO THE SONG. IT'S JUST LIKE GROWING UP AND LEARNING TO DO STUFF. YOU PRACTICE WITH SOMEBODY UNTILL YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF. APPARENTLY YASU ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH TO AAA MAX 300 BY HIMSELF YET, CAUSE HE NEEDS THE BAR TO HELP HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find this thread... amusing.

Flaming and insults seem to come from the "You suck, I'm better than you" side. Like professional sports players and announcers, we seem to have forgotten what DDR is...

Holy hell (what an oxymoron!)! If people use the bar, let them! If they play the game on their hands, let them! If they spin circles on Stomp to my Beat, let them! Thank God I don't have to deal with people like the one Max573 described. My arcade seems to be a little better about it. Lots of newbies, lots of standard players, few heavy gamers. Some bar-clingers, some soloists. Who cares?

Honestly? Yes, it does annoy me--to a point. And in a way, I look down on people who use the bar a lot. When I realized, on the video, that Yasu was holding on the bar during his AAA performance on Max 300, suddenly I wasn't very impressed any more. Could he do that without holding on? Could he do it on the home version? What if he went to a PS2 version tournament?

But still, I can't even pass Max 300 at the arcades, holding onto the bar or not, so I'm still impressed. There are things that really annoy me, and I think they're worse than "bar-rapers". Once I saw this guy who planted his left foot on the left arrow and attached his right hand to the bar. His right foot made every move, stomping on each step. Only once or twice did he move his left foot, and even then he only moved it to the top arrow.

Now THAT was annoying.

But did I tell him not to do it? No, because that's the way he played the game. I used to hop with the beat and think I was good. Nobody told me to stop--I was having fun.

There's a girl who works at the arcade I go to and she "bar-rapes". But I never tell her to stop. Well, maybe it has to do with the fact that she's kind of cute... heh...

did i mention that i've seen yasu attempt to AAA max300, get a great in the first 1/3 of the song, let go of the bar, and still finish with 1 great?

This thread has enspired me to completely clutch and molest the bar on any song no matter what the difficulty, I will put all my weight on it, lick it, dry hump it, whatever I can do even if I'm playing on beginner mode.

Then I'll do Max300 heavy without touching the bar, and point at the bar haters and laugh hysterically right at their stupid faces! Hah!

That's definitely a way to make an impression on people. What that impression is, I'm not quite to sure, but it's definitely an impression. Heheh.

As for the issue of Yasu using the bar, I really don't think that should matter in the slightest. In order to AAA something, you're going for absolute perfection of the song, and AAA'ing Max300 is one of the hardest things to accomplish. So what if he uses the bar? He knows what he's trying to do, so I don't think it matters if he gets a little help. I've still seen him AA MaxX Unlimited and get only 2 (I believe) greats. I don't know about you, but that impresses me.

Bar or no bar if you accomplish something big say AAAing anything on Heavy, I be impressed. I don't see it as a crutch unlike the bar rapin haters. Heck, even the PAers use speed mods you gonna hate on that now? Wanna call it a crutch? Eh, Yasu AAA'd Max 300 on 1.5/Reverse how about you try that and AAA it no bar then. Thought so.

You know what I hate!? People who make up real original threads like the ones that I JUST posted on about a week ago like "Who hates bar rapers" "Who hates people who use speed mods?" "How much money do you spend on DDR?" "Hot Chicks who play DDR" and so on and so on. So congratulations, you're even more annoying than bar rapers.

Back to topic:

Why hate people for how they play? My God people, lighten up a bit, it's just a game, you know, like you have fun. Or did everyone really forget what fun means? I mean, shi.t people, a game, A GAME. Sure, its annoying when you've got boy on the pads playing light and standard songs gripping to the bar as if to save his life

, but at least he's up there playing, at least he's having FUN. He's not sitting over there obsessing over other's methods, he's enjoying himself. Until you are God, which I am so sure you are not, stop damning everyone for their methods and styles. To each their own, deal with it.

Yeah, I don't like players boys or girls who hang on to the bar for all 4 songs no matter the difficulty, I yell nothing but bar raper and can't stand but laugh and chuckle at them. I sometimes use the bar, but not all the time.
