I recently got a new soft pad and modded it, with the standard plywood and plastic covering over it. Problem is, I screwed it up and put the 2 pieces of plastic covering the opposite way of how I had it last time...so now I have tape residue from the old mod on top of the down arrow. As you could expect, my socks get stuck on every down arrow, so I have to pull harder and it screws up my balance =\. Tried cleaning it off with Generic Cleaner, that didn't work. Anyone have any ideas on how to get that stuff off?

Orange glow

I know it is wood polish, but it will remove anything, and make it smell nice, and make your pad slightly slippery, but i love that stuff

Lighter Fluid or WD-40 works great too

Yup. Same thing happened with me and my arcade-sized Red Octane pad. frust.gif

If it wasn't "limited edition" I wouldn't care so much.

All of these suggestions are good, but it'll probably take a couple of tries to get all the crap off. Rub in a circular motion. And don't forget to AIR IT OUT afterwards, because all that stuff STINKS.

For other pads, the texture of the normal ROs and ignitions and such allows for peeling, and then just rubbing the gunk off by hand.

Happens every time I want to play doubles (not that that happens much with issues around the house).
