Ever broken a nice soft pad, and wanted to fix it without replacing it? I have. So I discovered a way to "fix" them for much cheaper then the cost of replacing them. My Red Octane ignition pad recently broke on me. Upon inspection, I found that it was something that I could not fix without something like elctrical paint (don't ask). So, I had an idea. I went out and bought a really cheap 20 dollar pad (you know the kind). I brought it back, hutted my ignition pad of all the wiring and everything (which was painfull to do because I loved my ignition so much) just leaving the padding beneather the arrows. Then I took the cheap pad and zipped it up inside the ignition pad (along with the normal foam inserts beneath it). My roommate and I are playing on it right now, adn we agree that it works just as well as a brand new ignition pad. If anyone has any questions on it, feel free to ask.

Almost forgot. Because the cheap pad is inside the nice pad, it should last longer then normal because of the protection, which is another plus!

An interesting idea. I'll have to try it. |
