Wow! That's really d*mned good for just winging it. I'd suggest taking a camera next time you go to an arcade for reference, maybe you can do all of the details on it too. It's pretty awesome how you have the TV in there already, I'm assuming you'll run SM or DWI on it too. Although I'd have to suggest some bigger speakers, unless you don't want to blow out your speakers since your stepping will probably overpower the sound if you're like me. Besides, it just ain't DDR if you don't have the volume all the way up. _________________

Gah, I suck at posting.
Haha, yea. Low volume ddr is just not fun. But I do have a stero set im hooking up, 4 speakers, 1 sub. DWI/SM, no. Im running ddr, ddrkonami mix, and ddrmax for playstation 2. I would rather use SM, but I dont have an extra computer to put in my basement. For the holes, im putting the circle I cut out, with sheet metal around , just behind the hole. About a 2 inch gap. Then im putting in 2 cold cathode lights above each one. Because I dont know where to get a grate or vent to put over the holes. And also because I dont have any lexan/plexi glass to put there like in the real machines. So I just made the wood slant instead of having a flat peice of wood in the back and a slanted peice of lexan. So this should work and look pretty cool. Also, im goning to try and put a hole for the playstation inbetween the speaker boxes. The board isnt there yet, but ill have it so I can access the playstation's front panel without goign inside. Should look pretty cool because its gonan be all black.I'm gonna try and get as many of the details I can. I will try to get all of the trimming. Anyway, thanks AmFm _________________

Large Stainless Steel Speaker Cover
Of course, if you're not using the lexan/lit speaker areas, you might not care about having an arcade-authentic speaker vent. _________________

neato! and much cheaper than buying an actual machiene. It would be sweet if you had the computer to put in it, but still... wow. _________________

ever since you're going with the cheap- metal pad route , just to make it more arcade-like you should build kind of a base/stage/platform to put the metal pads inside. so it would 1. rise the pad off the ground and 2. would look more like an arcade stage. add bars and stuff to it too. but thats just an idea |

Neptune, I had planned on doing that, at home depot I priced the bars out. Pretty cheap, actually. It wasnt as thick as the real machines. Probably about, inch and a half to 2 inches. Anyway, as of right now I only have one cheapy metal pad. And im low on cashola, so i'll have to save up later. As for the walkthrough, im going to say this again, this is NOT and exact replica. It was mostly built to fit the TV, and my likings. Although I did try and get it as close to the real thing as I could. I will make walktrough's, maybe I can go to the mall and size up the machine there. But for now, just keep that in mind. Thanks for all the good comments, and here are some new pictures for you.
Painted housing
The cold cathode light im using to light up the inside, for cool looks
The stero ill be using. It's only got the two speakers for now, I may add a whole different system in it later on.
Thanks alot, feel free to IM/Email me with your comments. _________________
