Can someone help me with IIDX 5th style?
I'm using an ASCII BM controller (5-key), and I tried to change the settings so the TT is on type B (on the right). But for some reason, it's STILL on the left in arcade mode! I'm pretty sure I changed the settings correctly because when I go back to the settings, it's still on type B like I set it at.....

I think V is actually not too hard on 7 key except the end maybe, and B4U is really only hard because of the crazy turntable action. Dive into your heart is hard because the wailing from Paua Terry is meant to stop you from doing well.  |

Plug your controller into the 2P controller slot.

Is Linus 7* on 7K? I would do Linus next...Colors as well. Unless you don't have 6th style...Then do Regulus if you have 5th style...and I dunno what'd be fun on 4th..and I don't own 3rd...

Hm, that sounds like a good idea, doing linus and colors...I have all 4 CS styles but 4th has 2 or 3 songs that crashes it, and about half the songs on 5th crash it ( i need a new bootleg copy ) Regulus being one of them on 5th  |

heh...oddly enough, i won't bootleg games..but i will bootleg computer programs..
anyway...i haven't played much in the last couple days..the last thing I did was try era nostalmix on 7key..that didn't work out too well..i also tried twinbee on another..didn't work out too well either..i have trouble with the leftmost white and blue key combinations and the rightmost white and blue key combinations.

You know, I'm probably gonna sound crazy for saying this, but go for G2. It's not that hard if you can get the drum part with your left hand, and if you've cleared it on Light7, then you should have little problem at the end. It was the third 7* I cleared on 6th Style, so it can't be THAT hard, right?
In other, chalk up another 7* for me! I actually cleared Nemesis, with a 100% *coughcoughIgotaDbutthatdoesn'tmattercoughcough*, I might add! Maybe I won't be on 7keys too much longer after all... Just got Frozen Ray, Flowtation, Get on Beat ~Wild Style~, Take it Easy, and DXY! to go...
This is for anyone that goes to American Fun Center in Westland, MI: has there been any news on the IIDX machine they're supposed to be getting? I heard they were going to get it last month, but I haven't heard anything new on the maater and it's almost October. Oh well, I guess I can wait a little longer, as long I can get 5th Style home version, or if 7th Style actually comes out (I MUST PLAY A AND KAKUMEI!)
EDIT: HOLY CRAP!!!! I AM SO EXCITED! AFC in Westland got 8TH STYLE today! I MUST PLAY IT!!!!!!  *proceeds to giggle like a schoolgirl*

call me crazy...but i just passed a whole slew of 6 stars after complaining that i needed some transition songs from 5 to 6 stars...i was able to pass .59, gradiusic cyber, leading cyber (as people had suggested for me to play) and about 6 others on 5th style...maybe this is an increase in my skill? or just plain dumb luck...thanks for the suggestions on what to play though!

Question about IIDX 5th Style:
Is there any way to play Another songs with 5-key? I wanna play the Ride On The Light Another, but I can't seem to switch it to Another when I'm in 5-key, but I don't have a IIDX controller (only ASCII BM controller). Am I screwed into playing no Anothers till I get a IIDX controller?

I am checking right now......*long pause*
yeah you need a IIDX controller...if you can't play the songs on light7, and only 5 key then you can't play another because another is designated as 7 or 14 keys only
EDIT: as of 9:38AM EST i have passed 7 another songs. none that are impressive like V or anything...but yay! another!

Aw damn, that means if I wanna play ROTL Another I have to A: shell out the cash for a IIDX controller, and B: re-teach myself on 7-keys instead of 5.
Shit, it's gonna be a while.... =>_<=
I wish Konami would learn from the IIDX simulators and add the option to just switch it to 5-key mode and be able to play anything on 5-key, including L-7 and Anothers.....

Well you do gotta understand, that konami made IIDX specifically for only 7 Keys play, they added the 5key feature in the CS versions for the 5key players who just don't want to move to 7key or jus use a DJSP controller until they can get a 7key controller. Thus making the reason why there is no Light5 or Another5 because 5 key modes scores aren't recorded at all nor are they graded. |
