Posting awards at the end of the year

Never even seen the site feedback forum, but since this whole NY thing started happening, ive been looking around.

I say, just to give the site a kick, at the end of the year make a whole bunch of categories for posting, nominate people, and pick the winners. It would be fun, and give people a reason to stay on DDR freak.

Im sure alot of you can build on this. But its just an idea i threw out there in hope that it would grow.

You know, something like "Longest poster", or "person with most posts", "person with least posts", "forum with most threads", most inteligent poster", etc...

Anything relating to "Person with most posts" or "forum with most threads" would just lead to post whoring.

And then of course there would be the constant debating of why it was unfair that certain people were picked over others

I think it's a great idea in concept, but in reality it may not work out as well.

Yeah, I think that some sort of awards thing could be pretty cool, but I'd worry about making it about posting. Too subjective, and people could easily cry favoritism or any other crap like that.

But maybe something like, making a Photoshop of the DDR Freak logo in a cool new way or something. Or maybe have a contest for the most convincing Fake DDR Song background, or the funniest one (all clean of course

).

Yeah, there's been talk about this before. I doubt it will ever be an official DDR Freak thing, though. It's just a little too subjective.

I sure as hell don't want to see a re-enactment of the DDR Freak Beauty Contest from years past. And this could turn into something like that if it isn't done right. x_X

(although I still find it funny I won second place in the make contest XD )

I would say VGS is the most active member. It would be interesting to see who the oldest and youngest DDRfreak member.
