How To Turn a SOFTPAD into a METAL PAD!!!

Hi, everybody, again...nice to see you...yes...

Well, Im back with more discussion on DDR Console pads... Have you ever thought of a way of making a softpad into a metal pad??? If you have any ideas, Post them here, or if you know of anything softpad,metal pad related, also post it here.

MY IDEA FOR A SOFTPAD-METAL PAD Conversion is:::

1<) Take the sensors out of the old softpad.
2<) Get metal base/sheet metal basing.
3<) Place the baseing metal down to the bottom layer.
4<) Put sensors on top of that.
5<) Do some other stuff...uh...erm....

Then um maybe...uh..VOILA! A new metal pad...

Something like this would be beneficial, and would save the average ddr player lots of money...Just buy an old pad and do it....(um yea)

ANY IDEAS ON SOMETHING LIKE THIS THAT WOULD WORK?????

i'm almost positive it'd work but i've never even used home version metal pads...

I wanna try to mod my friends...
I used to have KONAMIX but i sold it. i only have xbox now...my frends got PSONE AND XBOX, and has konamix cuz of me...After we both get ultramix, we will try to mod his old madcatz pad for PSONE cuz if it gets messed, it wont matter! mUAAHAH! I have shure-fire planz!

Hey is me again G-man you plan sounds good but dont forget cut sheet metal is VERY SHARP if u laid it on top of a pad it would cut u and the pad to peices. Not to mention its rather expensive.

Maybe it's just my pad but I had to go buy 2 more pads because the ones I had were becoming useless, I took out the sensors and placed them together and the game wouldn't read it.

Maybe thats just me. . I wouldn't do it to a brand new pad anyways.
