First of all, I'm sorry if this is old news, but I did a search and couldn't find any information on it.
I was starting up my MAX2 demo disc and I saw these words come up before the menu:
Konami
Computer
Entertainment
Tokyo
Is this a conicedence? I really doubt it is. I just thought it was interesting when I saw it. I never really put any thought into what KCET stands for. _________________

Ok, now for the next question: Why would that mix of Paranoia be labeled as KCET? Subliminal advertising? Are they trying to ingrain KCET into our brains with those beeps, thumps, and garbled words. Also... those words... yeah, they're telling me to buy from Konami.
Then again, I would have anyway. _________________

On Topic: KCET does stand for Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo and that's the company that holds the licenses, or copyrights for Konami Originals. _________________

New to me as well. All of a sudden I can't think of all the other things in songs titles that boggled my mind one. _________________

Well, it could contain KCET seeing as it was remixed by 2MB (also known as U1-Asami), and if I remember correctly, he was a higher rank in KCET.. I think it's like that, but I don't remember. _________________

It's called "KCET" because U1-Asami, the man who made the remix, is a head sound producer of Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, the subdivision that produced the home versions of DDR. Now, when U1 was elected to create new songs to be debuted in 1st Mix CS, he created songs/remixes that reflected his position in the company. Why? Who knows, but that's why it's called KCET, and why Make A Jam! has the old Konami logo in the background. |
