i was just browsing around the website. looking here and there, then i decided to click on the memberlist option in the forum.
there are a lot of accounts of people who registered in the forums, but never posted anything at all. i mean i see someone register in like April 2002...0 posts.......someone register February 2003.....12 posts, etc.
i think you should delete those that never used the accounts. or a rule like, if you registered and don't use it within 5 months, unless you are a trick member or higher, your account would automatically be gone or something.
i hope you guys are understanding what i'm trying to say and thankfully, it will comes out right. i think it would save some space for you guys, wouldn't it, if i'm not mistaking. |

Some people make accounts so they can post/update Machine Locations, but they don't post in the forums. Or they use it for Private Messages, which don't count for posts. _________________

okay, but with those exceptions. i'm talking about people who don't use at all, just registering and did nothing. not PMing, not updating locations, zlitch.....nada.
i'm guessing theres no way you can identify them, huh? |

Pretty much. As far as I know, it isn't that bad to keep the usernames stored. _________________

Yes, please don't go with this idea haha
I will rarely, if ever, be posting on this message board. The only reason I got an account was so I could do some correcting of Machine Location stuff which is wrong in my area (I'm having errors with that right now actually... go to the machine location error thread)
So yeah, I'd still like to submit my findings to you guys without using this board. |

There's really no way to tell if people are sending messages or not without access to the database. |

Yes, there is a huge amount of users, but the amount of work that would be required to purge inactive accounts just isn't worth the effort. Sorry, but I think you're going to just have to suffer with the massive userlist. |
