It could work, not as an anime tho - itll have to be realistic. It would start with just a n00b walking into an arcade and seeing the machine being installed, and wondering what it is. The guys would finish installing it and he (or she actually) would walk over to it and have a go. They would suck at it, on basic, but they keep trying anyway. Thro the movie (it would show other ppl playing and himwatching them etc) he would get better and better. Then after a while it'll say like 1 year later and would be playing on heavy (being really good in other words ). Then he see an advertisment for a tournament and discide to go, he will make it to the finals and lose. A few days later he'll meet the guy (or girl) that beat him and verse them, and win. He will then goto a tournament in a bigger city and come second (again), but he scores him slef a selection to represent USA (or ehatever country its based in) to goto a tourny in Tokyo Japan. His team will make it to the Semi-finals and have to verse Japan where they'll lose (cmon they're azn ), so they get 3rd, and Japan ends up winning. Then that should flow into a sequal (cause they lose).
Bad idea? I think it'll work. |

The only kinda of DDR movies that work are videos of people playing DDR doesn't need a storyline, we all play anyway.. _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Dancing Machine: the would be DDR movie in teh spirit of The Wizard.
Did't they just have a Yu-Gee-Ho episode where they had some card that let them play some version of DDR? _________________

Wow that sounds grand... I want to be the star actress in that movie! haha they need a girl to be a ddr'er it just makes the storyline so much more interesting... seeing a girl overcome in a freestyling tourny with a bunch of other people... then later on in the storyline... she meets with people from time to time. Then she has a whole ddr team (from the people that she meets). and she will have to use the team to start to beat other teams. Then her life experiences are all made of ddr n friends. but she learns a lot ^^ _________________

(oh im sorry to ddrfreak for using their name, i will probaly have to delete it later) but in the meantime tell me how you like an if i should change anything. -xcuse me for any typos-
Its Friday afternoon, school ended a couple of hours ago. The weekend has began for And while most guys our out getting ready for a date or a football game there are a certain few that go against the crowd, and follow their passion and dance. These are DDR FREAKS.
In a cozy home in the living room sits a young man on a couch. He seems bored flipping through the channels. Suddenly the phone rings. RING!
Boy: Hello?
Caller: Hey Alex, watcha doing?
Alex: Oh hey Jase, nothing. Why?
Jason: Me and the guys are going to the arcade. You wanna
come?
Alex: Um well thanks but its ok.
Jason: Awh man well ok, if you change your mind youll no
well be. See you
Alex: Bye -hangs up phone-
Alex grabs back the remote and continues to channel surf.
Ladys voice: Alexander, honey, could you help me clean the
kitchen Unless your buis
Alex: Sorry mom, Im going to meet the guys at the arcade.
Love you bye -he rushes outside and takes off on his ten
speed to the arcade-
At the arcade.
It seems like any other arcade. You got your fighting games. Your racing, the shooters. A few virtual reality games, and your ticket makers. But one game separates this arcade from others
Alex walks in looking for his friends he cashes a dollar and looks around. As he walks he sees one of his friends from behind and other game. He walks towards him, but then he see the most amazing thing ever. Jason and Joey are both playing dance dance revolution. Jason I s a tall Asian boy with a short hair cut. Joey is a short stubby guy, with a even shorter hair cut. They both move their feet as fast as they can to finish a Paranoia mix. But in the end Jason moves his feet better then joey as the score reads A to Joeys C.
Alex stands there in awe, he cant believe what e has just seen.
Jason: Good game Joey. You want to play again?
Joey: -trying to catch breath- uh maybe later man.
Alex: _jaw dropped_ What was that? That was like the
coolest. Jase, what is this?
Jason: Oh hey Alex, glad you could make -he wipes sweat off
his face- What this? Its ddr _with duh look_
Alex: ddr?
Jason: You been living under a rock man? DDR, its short for
dance dance revolution. -shrugs- Its a dancing
simulator, the music plays as you try to hit arrows to
match the ones on the screen. You never seen it, or
what??
Alex: Well I dont really come to the arcade much, I stick to
consoles. But it be really great if I could learn.
Jason: I could teach you.
Alex: Whoa, really? Ah man thanks. Yeah you could be like my
sensi.
Jason: Just cause Im Asian dosent mean im some karate
master and am a sensi ok?!
Alex:-blink blink- _in Chineses accent_ Yes masta - Alex
puts his hands together and bows-
Jason: -rolls eyes- oh boy. |

THIS COULD WORK!!! A few months ago I was reading about this film that they were showing at the Sundance Film Festival. It was about a group of people who were the top players at Capcom related fighting games(mainly street fighter).
I think they were going on a roadtrip to cali or vegas to compete in a huge tournament and along the way the stoped at local arcades and challenged the top players along the way.
I think thats the way the plot went, if I find a link to it i'll post it. _________________

I dont think a story ie. fictional movie would work for ddr. I think a documentry movie on ddr like wut real ddr players do. Like that movie "spellbound" document a couple of ddr players aned then followed them on there ddr games and tourneys. |

GottaDDR2nite,
I was bored I took the liberty of changing your script to a proper format, hope you don't mind. I didn't change the actual script at all.
INT; Day. Living Room
Alex is sitting on couch, watching television. Phone rings, Alex Answers
Alex: Hello?
Jason (On Phone): Hey Alex, wat'cha doing?
Alex: Oh hey Jase, nothing. Why?
Jason (On Phone): Me and the guys are going to the arcade. You wanna
come?
Alex: Um well thanks but it's ok.
Jason (On Phone): Awh man well ok, if you change your mind you'll know
where we'll be. See you
Alex: Bye
Alex hangs up the phone and picks up the remote control.
Alex's Mother (Offscreen): Alexander, honey, could you help me clean the
kitchen Unless your busy,
Alex: Sorry mom, I'm going to meet the guys at the arcade.
Love you bye
Alex leaves the room in a hurry
EXT; Day, Front Yard of house.
Alex climbs onto a bicycle and rides off.
INT; Day, Arcade
Alex enters and gives a dollar to the clerk at the counter, who returns 4 quarters.
Alex looks around for several moments, before spotting Jason and Joey playing Dance Dance Revolution. Alex approaches them as the game ends. Jason wins.
Alex has an awed look.
Jason: Good game Joey. You want to play again?
Joey (Out of breath): uh maybe later man.
Alex (Suprised): What was that? That was like the
coolest. Jase, what is this?
Jason wipes Sweat off his face
Jason: Oh hey Alex, glad you could make
What this? It's DDR
Alex: DDR?
Jason: You been living under a rock man? DDR, its short for
dance dance revolution. It's a dancing
simulator, the music plays as you try to hit arrows to
match the ones on the screen. You never seen it, or
