Note: if this post is in the wrong place for this subject please move it, and also i ask that u please don't make this a flaming issue for this was just something that was stirring in my mind last night. Thanks. E4.gif

Now i was wondering one night when i was reading the board and came to a question of sorts, some people say that were are some what of a ddr type family, so with that in mind how close of a family are we? Are we close enought that if someone who's a member of this board and a regular ddr player or for that matter a family member of that person past away will u send your condolence to that person or any other problems that this person will have will u help cheer that person up? Again this is just a question that went though my head last night, if u don't want to answer then thats fine and mods if u want to lock this then do so. Later. biggrin.gif

The DDR Family...yes I have used this term a few times myself. I consider "us" enough of a family as to where I feel that I could talk to a fellow DDR'er, even in a foreign town, as a comrade of sorts.

Ya know, like if they are struggling with a song, you yell "Go such-and-such, you can do it!"

I guess that is what I consider the DDR "family."

I think there are families in the DDR Community here. There are people that get along with each other, those that dislike or don't get along with one group. I think there's too much ego in some groups for everyone to get along. All in all MOST DDR players are really great people and are willing to take the time with others.

For sure, i've met some people through ddr that are now some of my closest friends..as for the board, i regard people that i've been talking with for a while as fairly close.

ditto here, although some of the ppl on this board r jus w/e a couple others (Clover, and a few others) r really cool w/ me, talkin on AIM is jus fun when u start getting to know some1, other than that the ppl i talk to locally are my friends but 2 are what i consider my close friends, others r jus w/e.

I think that if one DDR person got into a fight that another DDR person would back them up. Unless Two DDR people got into a fight together then, i dunno

Now that depends....some people can be close as ever...supporting one another. OR You have your jealous type "I'm the better player" type that only degrades you because they might have a better skill level than you...either way it can go..."birds of a feather flock together." That doesnt seem to be the case in the DDR world anymore. From what I've seen.

I think also, people are here where I live are too busy being competitive, so i can call it a family... Sure there are those people that play that are just really cool and nice about it when they accomplish something, but most people ive played with are all competitive... "to each his own"
