I'm thinking about buying metal dance pads like the ones in the arcade. Should I? I've heard they break pretty fast. and I Don't want to spend $289 on pads that will just break. frown.gif

go make ur own ddr metal matt instead of the hard ones. U just take a metal plate and shiz then the glass and cut out the things from ur soft ddr mat, the only hard part is the wiring, but basicly u just copy the ddr soft mat wiring into the hard cover

hm i dont know about you guys but i'd advise against it. Ive played on all kinds of metal pads and they ALL break VERY easily. A friend's $600 pads broke pretty fast as well (for 2) and im presuming youre going for that. My suggestion would be a nice set of Ignition pads. Firm, wont move too much/distract you during your game and will work VERY well. Only thing, it will feel easier than the arcade pads.
