I got my metal pads last saturday, and the down arrow on my pad doesn't work AT ALL!!! it was workin' fine yesterday. nothing special happened. It doesn't work, and I'm not going to accept the fact that I spent 500$ on a three arrow pad! what can I do??? I just started getting good on doubles to E12.gif

First and foremost:

No one buys a metal pad that's $500. That's insane.

Secondly:

If you bought the pad that seriously looks like the regular arcade DDR pad, then disassemble it. You might come across some wiring. I've seen employees fix the pad @ Broadway City. It looks like a lot of work, but many people stomp on the pad, forcing it to break at times. I would say that most of these pads have a wiring configuration to it, and I suppose that if you can find the disconnected part that caused the pad to break, you can fix it.

Personally, that's what you get for spending that much money...

I live in NFLD. Our Dollar is less as expensive than yours.

They're Cobalt Flux, if that helps. I'm not really someone to be taking apart expensive machinery.
I haven't had it a week, and if it can't be fixed, then would I be able to send it back for another?

For crying out loud....

CALL THE COMPANY.

If this was a pad that you were building yourself or what not, then sure, you'd have to come here for help. But from what I heard CF has great customer service. You have a 6 month warrenty as well, so you might want to TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT.

Play songs that don't use the down arrow that much.

I've heard that some of the metal pads do go nuts pretty quickly..as mentioned, send back for the warranty, and then start looking around for ways to mod your pads so they don't break as easily

If you read in the discription of metal pads it says that they can only hold 300 LBS pressure. Thats not very much.

I'm hoping our soon to be 13 year old can't exert over 300 lbs of pressure on one arrow or i'd be worried about him..
