DDR Prom

I know this is odd but I heard that my school is having a DDR Prom. Has anyone else had anything like this happen? I just don't know how it would work.

I honestly dont know how that would work either...I just dont see the fun in having DDR in a prom when it's there to have fun with your dates/friends. DDR would honestly NOT be apart of my daily PROM digest.

I don't know but if they had a machine there the womens would be breaking the panels with their heeled shoes.

the very idea just scares me... I wonder who in leadership thought of that?

but anyway if there was something like that at my prom i would so not wear high heals

Well...that's true too...but the most important thing is that they dont mock the scene by doing so but having fun along with it !

Yeah if people dressed formally then there would be some problems. Girls would be tripping on their skirts. The guys wouldn't have a problem except sweating. Epecially if they had a wool suit on

Weird.

Someone in leadership must have strange connections. How are they going to do this? Don't forget they need a TV, PS2, and a dance pad. That'll take up a lot of space. (Depends on how many pads they get).

It's a cool idea though.

Well our school always has its proms in a big college auditorium or banquet room or gym or whatever I just know its in a college. What would be cool though is if they got a huge screen so everyone could see your moves

Oh I just remembered my cousin having something like that at his prom!

but he told me that he only saw guys dance on it and some girls maybe... and since it was a soft pad i think some girls tried it bare footed

That's cool. I just thought of something else...how would you hear the DDR music over the other music? and I would rather have an arcade version. maybe they could rent one or something

I could see DDR at a post prom party. At our high school's one, they had games like Lazer Tag and carnival games so I could see DDR fitting into something like that. Unfortunately, I graduated in 2000, 1 year before I ever had interest in DDR

Nothing quite like going to prom with a girl just to stomp around like a moron and become a sweaty mess. Let's just forget it is supposed to be a landmark event and turn it into another trip to the arcade.

My verdict: The only thing worse would be having DDR as an Olympic event.

Some people in my High School just went to the proms with their friends. I can easily imagine plenty of my class playing DDR had it been featured there.
