This is about the good ol back bar (trick bar, what ever you wanna call it).

Yes...i know you are all against bar raping...as am I...looks horrible (Except when yazu did AAA on max 300...in that case, it's ok biggrin.gif)

but, you guys gotta admit. it's necessary ONCE in a while..... so i dont see why everyone is SO protestant against backbars on home pads?

any input?

I wouldn't say we're protesting against back bars on home pads, it's just that the home pads are never durable or heavy enough to support a bar that will be leaned on. Everyone would probably love to have an arcade perfect pad at home, unless you have the know-how to build your own pad with a backbar.

After about 2 weeks of ddr usa on home pads... I went for the xtra stage and used a chair for the back bar... then the chair slid back and I lost my footing. Then I was like... *comes up with idea bubble* and put two chairs, one on each side, next to the pad so instead of one back bar I had two side bars... still didn't pass because I'm stamina declined.

I have nothing against them, I use it from time to time in some parts of a song on difficult step patterns and when I'm drained. I am against players who depend on the bar all the time on even Light songs or any difficulty. To me, it's like driving a car and not knowing Manual.

I never bar rape, but I occasionally put one hand on the bar to steady myself any time there are lots of jumps in rapid succession. Two good examples are Stoic (Heavy), and the end of MaxX Unlimited (Standard).

I never found the bar all that useful. Its insanely difficult to do rapid turn wit the bar and it never helped me out that much at all. I find the bar to make teh game harder.
