Is everyone here blind? No really, this is a serious question. Do you people have brail computer monitors? Maybe all the flashy colors will get your attention.
And yes, 24 hours straight would be extremely exhausting.
Quote: | So, it ended up that Hinonaku and I ended up quitting at the 15 hour mark (shattering the previous record), PrincessD went for about 17 hours I think, and then Cracker, FoyBoy, and Shakespeare all ended up tieing at the 36 hour mark (when the arcade operator kicked them out). |
Damn that's cool! I wanna be a part of history too! _________________

Hey SaNoDa!
So if you're the ones who got the record for the most time on DDR, and the other group were the one who went to 20 DDR locations in one day, who on this board went to the most DDR locations in:
A. A Week?
B. A Month?
C. A Year?
As far as I know, the world record for DDR locations for a week is 100 locations; for a month, 250 location. And for a year, someone on this board went to over 350+ DDR LOCATIONS, most of them in the USA! I would even be lucky if I can hit 100 DDR LOCATIONS in 2003! (Correct me if I'm wrong, PMG!) Is that a trip or what? Please reply, over! Thanks!

Here's another couple of questions:
- Could you bar grab?
- Could you wait until the timer counted all the way down, or would you have to basically do a sort of nonstop mode? AFAIK, no arcade mode has a real nonstop mode, so there'd have to be some sort of song selection break (that wouldn't be the restroom break), so how long would that be? _________________

I can go 24 hours straight of martial arts training with 2 half hour breaks for meals, so I think I could probably go 24 hours straight on DDR. I might have to try sometime (Being the assistant manager of the theatre where the local DDR machine is located gives me the advantage of keeping the arcade open as long as I want) |

According to the Guinness web site: Quote: | Marc ET of London, UK, danced on Konami's Dancing Stage Arcade Machine for eight hours at The Trocadero, London on March 10, 1999. |

Well, 24 hours is a long time. I heard, that some team, played DDR for like 126 hours, or some ridiculous time. They, played, and took turns, and while one slept the other played, and so on. That way each person could go to the bathroom, eat, and sleep, AS long as someone was playing continously, so they rotated. My friends and I were going to attempt it, and had a radio station time us, and an arcade, but the record was way to big. So we didn't do it. _________________

Yea, a team effort seems a lot easier then going it alone. Sounds like something we should try.
And Little Firefly, Jeff Murdock is truly the greatest philosopher of all time. I don't wanna see what NBC is gonna do to 'Coupling.' _________________

I tried that on endless mode on the extreme mix in stepmania, had 85 songs in it. I reached up to stage 64... lost on a seven footer. yet, i beat every ten footer (lom,ps,psm, sakura) but bag. when i was done playing for an hour and 40 minutes, half of the shirt i wore was soaking wet.
so, what did i learn? the more tiring you are...the worse your pa becomes. |

Oh brother, that's lame. Allowing someone to sleep, and then take their turn? What's the fun in that, I would never want to be associated with a record that anyone could pull off. |
