Yeah, I'd like to hear a little more about it myself.

Whoo. From New Hampshire. You're probably that guy we saw at Hilltop one day. Unless there's other people wandering around NH examining those pads. >.>

Which is good. Because if you make something like that, shipping from NH to NH won't be so bad. =P

You go to Hilltop? Are you one of the fellas who hangs out at Paperback Bazar?

Yeah, if you saw some guy with a measuring tape measuring and stacking weights on one of the pads, that was most certainly me.

Ha! We can hand deliver it if you're that close to Hilltop! E4.gif

Nah. We just saw you there randomly there one day. And we helped you lift the pad up to look underneath, then you showed my friend up in Kick the Can. =P

Or maybe you're the guy who stayed away from playing, and spoke with me. There was two of you. @.@

Either way, good times, good times. ^.^

Ah, you're either Chris or Anthony, then.

Hey, he was doing the spins in Butterfly. Who was showing up who now? E13.gif

I've done Kick the Can more times than anyone should have in their life. It's probably one of the easiest Heavy songs. It looks difficult, but the steps actually flow very, very well, making it almost deceptive.

I don't consider myself a good DDR player because of Kick the Can, I'll put it that way (then again, I don't consider myself a good one at all...yet E13.gif)

Sextuple posts.

My god, I am sorry.

My browser keeps timing out and this is tragically the result. If a mod sees this, feel free to delete the extra posts, including this one.

Again, sorry.

I think the site is a tad laggy at the moment. @.@

Though yeah. A few days later we ended up trying that on heavy, and now everyone we usually go and play with is hooked on it. n.n It looks so complicated, but the pattern of steps is nice and easy to do.

I don't consider myself anywhere near good. Especially when I go there later at night and see the people doing craaaaazy stuff. But I suppose practice is good. E13.gif

(I'm Chris BTW)

Yeah, KtC is a great song to wow people who don't know anything about the game. E4.gif

Watching some of the more insane players out there is downright disheartening at times (which is exactly why I want to build this pad). It's good because there aren't THAT many DDR players kicking around, meaning that you can often be the only good one at an arcade and wind up wowing people anyways.

Smash, I really hope this pad goes well, I know I won't buy one but I sure would like to see it. BTW I have noticed alot of people being really nitpicky about how they want this pad to be set up, lights? C'mon, you don't even see the lights when you play! Just make the pad to your likings Smash.

If there was a feasible way to add them, we'd do it, but it would require adding an additional power supply, more weight and overall cost. I think the most important aspect of this is to produce a pad which can be lugged around and plugged into any playstation and it will just work.

Thanks for the support. From what I understand, the plans are nearly drawn up and my local engineer will be converting them into a design which can be handled by a machine shop soon.

God-willing, this thing MIGHT be ready for Christmas. beerchug.gif

For a single pad:
D. $200-$300

For a double pad:
B. $400-$500

...i want one... too bad i'm 12, and i'll never have the moneys. damn... Well smash bro this thing looks AWESOME! I hate the cobalt flux design they had no intention of takin the arcade experience to your home. And from what i see in these forums you have every intention of that. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THESE PADS!!! oh and don't do the lights. it ain't worth it and if i can every save up the money to buy one o these i don't wanna be payin extra for junk i don't need...like lights. Also if the design of this pad is truly as amazing as this sounds, i think people should be alot more willing to shell out some more money more like 400 for a pad, considering the fact that people r actually payin 300 for a cf. That is if this is as good as it sounds. But as far as i can see it is! Like i said I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS! and maybe next year when i have a job i'll get on!
