Combo Busters

What songs do you think are not necessarily hard to clear, but are hard to fullcombo?

At the moment I'm obsessed with FC'ing CSFILSM on Stepmania. Haven't had any luck for the past three days (just wearing the song out if anything

). I came very close though; got to the last bit with the turns in it and then I got the jitters and missed a beat. There's gallops in there as well as just sheer weight of stream which makes it quite tricky to keep time.

Also HVAM. Double steps on the pad obviously, as well as that bastarding pause right in the middle; I think it's half a beat which is what makes it so damn hard. Gets me every time.

Oh, and Burning Heat and So Deep. Nuff said... as opposed to, say, Max300, which while technically hard (hey I'm nowhere near being able to clear it) probably isn't as hard to FC as So Deep is (SD is hard but not Max300 hard) seeing as Max300 is very regular. Then again I'm not exactly in a position to speak with authority about Max300...

the funny thing about me and fcing hvam was that i'd ALWAYS get a good on the first step, the fc the rest..because i'd start with my feet on the right and up arrow for the jump..and i'd mess up...so now i start with my feet on down and left, and jump, then go crazy on it...but anyways...MU is a bastard to fc whether its in sm or in the arcade...I'm not even close in either place...

Ya i dunno why but for some reason i dont usually FC most of my songs. But yeah its not that i suck cause i can get 5 greats on Paranoia Kcet but i got a good

Yeah, that. Except I think there is also a biotch of an arrow at the end...damn slowdowns.

R&P is hell for me because out-galloping hates me. Songs like Waka Laka, Stoic, DXY!, EOTC that have all those damn step jumps are also a pain. Oh, and era...i always lose my combo either during the sets of three consecutive steps on the same arrow, or the last damn arrow (of topic, but I can't help laughing everytime a n00b doesn't realize that step is even there).

i think anything with a lot of 16th notes is considered a combo buster cause its hard to get it exact. i usually just end up spazzing out when i see them closely packed in spin the disc

Tsugaru, maybe. Those double steps in the gallops aren't really doubles. I also notice that a lot of people can't seem to get the steps at the climax of the song. They treat it like a run when it isn't.

Are you talking about the arrows that look like jumps but you can actually see they are slightly spaced if you put it on 2x?

The gallops in Orion.78 Civ Mix always screw me up...the first ones I can't get, and the second ones I can usually get if I'm lucky. Plus the part where it's jump-step-jump in 8th notes at 200bpm are scary.

Also I can't FC Love Again Tonight for Melissa Mix on MAXUS...it just has some evil evil parts near the beginning. And there was another song but I forgot it...hmm.

Be Lovin - Jump step jump combos at 180 BPM are not fun

Destiny Lovers has two really wierd parts

Dance Dance Revolution has a wierd bit at the end as well
