Have you ever had someone waiting to play after you and they are talking big like they can beat you? I had this one kid (Brandon) waiting to go after me, and after I did a bar hop, his friend tried to mess me up by saying stuff on offbeats and naming the wrong arrows. Didn't mess me up. He was also saying stuff like "Brandon, you can whip is his butt" and all that junk. Brandon made the mistake of saying that his goal was to get 31 misses on a song on maniac. His last song (he didn't get the 31 the other 2 times) he picked Drop Out Maniac. he did so bad and finished with 2 dance meter bars left, that he didn't let anyone see. The arcade guy wanted to know, but he didn't show him. Brandon left, I got up there, did Drop Out on Maniac. 7 MISS 3 BOO. I told the arcade guy to tell brandon that I got 7 miss 3 boos next time he saw him. Stupid egos. _________________

If my friend is trying to put words in my mouth before I go up I give them a good punch in the stomach. I'm only as good as I say I am, so Brandon, go practice more and come back and don't let your friend do the talking for you cause you're gonna get burned. _________________

Really I don't like those people, if your gonna talk smack make sure you back up what you say. Ego maniacs. Argh!! Can't stand them. I 0wNed this foo at Doubles and this guy tries lying and messing with my game when I leave after finishing 3rd stage and makes me automatically lose by pressing Start. Had I found out who it was I would did this....curse him out knock his butt into the machine or even better when he's DDRing I will kick him very hard to the back of his knees. He sure as heck won't be DDRing again and be handicap. What people need to learn is to be patient and respect others. Hah, he was playing Butterfly/Std and Afronova/Std failed that poser! Had I found out I would said you suck and just heckle him. I hope what goes around does come around, cause I will beat his sorry butt on Heavy Doubles. I don't think he can last no more than 5 secs with me. _________________

I've never had a bad case of people with over egos, but I've done it myself, and for good reason. I moved from washington to oregon a few years back. When I came back to visit my friends I bought a ddr pad over there and started getting into it. We all sucked. About 6 months later I go come back to visit them again, but this time I've had lots of arcade experience and I could nearly AA max 300 heavy (along with being able to AA just about anything else except a few songs). I told them this and they wouldn't believe me. So I was like "guess I'll have to show you myself".
When we got to the arcade, there were a couple people playing. Neither of these people sucked, but they were nowhere near my calibur. I could tell because I can easily AA 1998 without a bar, and this guy was barring and still only got an A. My friend was like, "dude are you as good as that guy?" and I'm like "no, I'm better." and he's like "hahaha yeah right!" so we kinda get closer to the machine and they keep like commenting that it was highly impossible for me to be that good. So when it was my turn, they are all "alright drew, show us max 300" and I'm like "max 300? or do you want Legend of max? or even better.. unlimited?" I think they believed max 300 was the hardest simply because they have only played ddr max usa and max 300 is about the hardest song on there. So they asked me to play max.
Despite the semi-crappy pads (well, not horrible, but a lot worse than what I am used to) I still managed an A. And this was first stage, no warm up or anything, I hadn't played in like a week... I look back and my friend was just like holy crap dude that was awsome.
But yeah, only time I've ever kinda been kinda cocky like that was for a good reason. Because nobody would believe me. |

o, big ego, I get those alot because when people see me dancing or waiting to dance, they assume they could do better because I'm really short and I look like I'm 12.
Yesterday, actually, I was waiting to dance and these people my age were talking down to me, explaining the game and how good they were and yadda yadda. I was just paying attention to their friend who was "better than me" fail B4U on Trick towards the beginning. Then they had the nerve to put their friends in front of me because "they were better" and put them on Beginner mode and spend time talking about each song before they played it.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to show them up because I was the last dancer before the mall closed early and they had to go to their cars. |

Just so they don't do that to me, I stand there and look bored and tired while watching them. you know, the look that says "I wish this was over, I'm getting extremely bored." _________________

anywho, im a lucky ass bastard. that has never happened to me. not even the most idiotic person has done that to me. most of the time, people will say, "damn foo, how da hell you be doin dat yo?" then im all like, "practice. you wanna play?" then their like, "nah man, its all good" then im all like, "wanna smoke some weed?" and theyre like, "aight homie" then we get high and eat some chicken. well not really. but the first two things are what really happen. |
