On my new RedOctane metal pad, when I step on the back arrow, I can hear a squeaking sound. Does anyone know what the problem is? I'm scared to use it. Ps2freak would be great help right about now..

Just open it up and check under there, if it's anything like my CF it doesn't take a genius to figure out how to remove panels without much trouble. And if you can't find it there I wouldn't have any idea of how to help you.

E9.gif Scared to used it... that's funny. Anyway, it's probably the acrylic just bending. Don't play... instead just step on it little by little for a few days. It may go away after that. If not, contact Red Octane.

dont worry about it, mine does too, its because it has wood under it and the wood and metal are tight, and it creaks, because wood creaks. it will be fine im pretty sure, i play mine on heavy anyway and it dont bother it

if your playing on heavy, and if your a larger fellow, then its going to creak. Most of the pads were designed for people 150 or less. They take more weight, but they make more noise.

I had the same problem with my pad. It is just the plastic rubbing either against some metal or the screws themselves.

I am about 6'2" and currently 170pounds(goes down depending on how much I play) and my metal pads are having problems it envolves me having to bend the wire coming out of them to make them work! I guess its time to rewire them(max2 is coming out soon! wouldn't you do it ASAP also). laugh.gif
