Okay, well, I reeeally wanted to start a new thread to show everyone this because its the best thing I've seen in a long long time.. but I figured I'd show you here. Well, here it is:

www.weebl.jolt.co.uk/quest.htm

Some of you British people might know the show Wobbl and Bob on tv.. this is the place that started it all.. and the genius creater Weebl included DDR in his latest episode. Just watch it.

Oh and I saw DDR in a coca-cola commercial a few weeks ago in a German theater.

edit: wow.. I guess this forum isn't as quick as I had thought... go wath it peoples! I promise its one of the best things I've seen in a long time!

A little more info on the CNN spot:

The newswoman was having an interview with a guy from LikSang.com.

They shown (in order):

1. The LikSang guy playing DDR on a metal pad with a bar
2. Various wireless controllers, including a lightgun
3. A PS2 camera that captures movement
4. Maracas for Samba De Amigo
5. The newswoman playing "Love at First Sight" Basic on the metal pad

I was watching Trigger Happy TV on Comedy Central and there was a point where 2 people dressed in dog suits were playing a video game. One punched the other in the face and after the camera changed the angle to the side of the machine, I could see a woman standing halfway on a DDR pad, leaning on the bar and watching the goings-on. Kinda cool.[/quote]

I was watching I Love the 70's on VH1 and during the credits they were playing a song and i was like "damn that sounds familiar". It was the original Long Train Runnin by the Doobie Bros. Does "hearing" DDR count on this thread.

Wow... I was watching Will and Grace tonight, and they took Grace to an arcade for her birthday, and I heard some technoish DDR song in the background, and I was like, "hey, that's ddr!"

And then Grace said, "I want to play Dance Dance Revolution!"

So she started to play (well, randomly jump around on the pads waving arms around wildly) and she started to fail, so she ran away. Then Jack played a song that said it was 'Abyss' but it was an entirely different song. It was funny the way Karen got the kid of the machine (let him play with her 'make a fake identity' kit)

On a follow up to that Will & Grace post...

The kid was playing dynamite rave on a 5th mix...the "5th mix" part of the top banner had been censored over.

and the two (jack and grace) played two songs that aren't at all on the mix...."I'm so excited" and some other song....

man they need to have some kind of FS or PA pro on a show once...

I was just watching King of the Hill, the two part one where they go to japan. Ok so Bobby goes off and comes across a dancing machine. It's pretty cool actually they really show it time and time again throughout the show. There's a robot charater it has songs like I like big butts and they had two more i can't remember. It was also called dance party. (man i paid too much attention)

I was at a Beef and Beer to support my stringband back in June, and in the middle of all this old OLD crap, they started playing some Eurobeat, so me and my friend, Matt (who drives me to DDR) start dancing, then they played "So Many Men" and Matt started doing the steps and singing along like a total goofball. Also, if you go into a Walgreens, they play that Faith Hill song (the slow vers.) all the fruggin' time. I'm threatening to take my cds in and playing other DDR songs over the PA.
We were also driving one day to find one of our friends to take him to play with us, and we see this billboard "1-800-Call-DDR" I have no clue what the company is, but it just struck me as funny.
And in January, me, a guy I dated, and some of his friends were featured in a spot on CN8. It was my first time playing, so you see me almost fallin' off the pad repeatedly. ^^

GO NOW

Actually, it's not anything depicting the machine or whatever. just a reference... But with current storyline and all...I just thought it was neat-o.

Note: the link is to the latest comic, therefore, If you are reading this like way later, check the archives...

OMG! OMG! I once saw DDR being previewed in TV in the NOW network. I was sort of a commercial where a boy and girl were sort of freestlyling. Then all of a sudden, the guy switches to the other side by jumping and bouncing on the screen to the other pad. The problem is, you cant see the damn steps and the song is not familiar.
