the pad arrived at my house yesterday and its WAAAY different than the old one.

First of all, there IS an arcade exact outer metal border.(unlike cobalt)
The arrows ARE polycarbonate, not 1 was broken.
The O and X and the two bottom squares are FULLY metal with screws in the four corners. (just like arcade, screw those stupid corner arrows! My opinion.)
Start and select are housed in a seperate box (just like cobalt)
There are individual, depressed corner brackets. (just like arcade, cobalt)
basically, it DOES look like that picture that I posted.

Now all I have to do is open it up and see what activates the buttons.....

Well, shows just how much you know about the CobaltFlux pad. There is no select button, there is triangle, and the Triangle and Start buttons are located on the back of the pad, well, rear of the back diagonals.

And thats great that they actually spend the time to make it LOOK like a cheap arcade rip-off, now lets see if its any good on the inside, you know, the important part.

It sounds pretty cool. Can you post some pics of it? Also, does it have lights?

ok, lemme break it down for you.

I ended that corner arrow description with, "In my opinion". Therefore, thats my opinion. You may love those corner arrows, I dont. (Whats the point of having them if you cant show off your skills at the local arcade?)

i claimed that that guy was jealous because thats the only logical explanation to his sudden, angry, violent out-burst of anti-BNS sentiment.

now wait! here comes my favorite part................

"U need to stop posting these new topics, i dont think ne1 cares about (your BNS pad)."

then. The VERY next post is this:

"It sounds pretty cool. Can you post some pics of it? Also, does it have lights?"

Dont feel too bad though. At least we can agree on my awful sense of humor! laugh.gif

Sure. I'll find my brothers crappy digital cam and take some pics of it.
I dont know about the lights yet though, I still havent used it. I'll tell you tommorow. ( I'm not at my house right now.)

Anyway, this is what the pad really looks like. http://buynshop.com/ddr/mp/v2mpd1.gif

I'm glad to hear you got your pad crypto, don't let all these guys with sticks up their a*ses get to you. Metal pads are fun though aren't they? I got my Cobalt Flux around the same time and I gotta say I've never felt more alive while playing, my crappy soft pad was nothing next to a metal pad. My Cobalt Flux is amazing as far as accuracy in steps, when I get a perfect it really was a perfect. I can actually pass oni courses now, and playing with shoes on at home is a blast.

I was wondering what types of connections the BNS uses too, are they MyMyBox style, or different? Have fun with your investment too man, I know I am with mine! E4.gif

Thats right cryptoddrfweak, I, with my CobaltFlux, am jealous of your BNS pad after hearing all the GREAT reviews about it that don't exist from anyone yet.

How you drop your BNS pad on my CF pad, and then I drop my CF pad on your BNS pad, and we can just settle it that way?

I've had good luck with BNS products. Unfortunatly they seem to only have a 30 day store warranty. I'm trying to figure out if the manufacturer (them) warranty is any longer. If it's at least 90 days, I'll probably go with buying two of those.

That's what I'm waiting to find out. When you get a chance, could you peek inside and tell us what type of connections and wiring set up they've got? Are they metal plate contacts like the CobaltFlux pads, or something... else?

Thanks!

I want the whole scoop, as far as performance goes. I may want one of these, it's the perfect price for me. And I don't want a POS that will break after a week of play that ghosts and sticks.

I'm also curious about how well it holds up in the long run. Keep us updated on how well it survives!

If you weren't such a jerk all the time then maybe people wouldn't attack everything you post. Look, you already have 4 warning points. That's almost halfway to a ban. If you're gonna post, please try and be constructive and straight to the point. Don't just flame/flamebait, it's very annoying.
As for the pad, most metal pads look the same on the outside. It's what's on the inside that eveyrone wants to know about. Does it have the metal plate type contacts or the tape kind? How much noise does it make? How much does it move when you play? Does it register when you step lightly? Stuff like that.

Yeah i agree, not much of a review, if i had a new metal pad (which i by golly hope to buddha someday i do) i would play with it right away. like waiting on my doorstep for the new light in my life kind of right o way.

Plus this pad does look good, and in my price range, I've had a lot of good luck with my BNS pads, and i'd really like to know if this one is as good as it looks. So please, will someone stop the flamming and give an honest review, after playing on it and taking it apart and all that.

I use those corner buttons to actually play Solo mode, so it looks like I'll definitely never be getting a BNS.

Ya i use them too, especially at the arcade.............................
wait a minute........................
there ARENT any corner arrows in the arcade!

Thats the same reason that I love this pad, because of how arcade realistic it is. Its not just some guy's random design. This pad was made with the arcade machine in mind. WOW MAN.
