ugh. last time i was playing, there were all these people who were just horrible who obviously didn't learn anything about taking turns. they just kept playing. so finally i went up to them and asked if i could please play.
jebus. learn some stuff before you go playing at an arcade. you don't own the machine. other people play too.

In all of St. Louis it's pretty dang hard to find a nice place to play DDR and not have some crap-face load of kids hoggin the machine or ruining your playing time. Here's the two things i hate most:

1.) Wanting to play... walking to the machine... and seeing that there's already 27 credits in there

2.) Seeing these fat people (no offense seriously) who think that the only way to press the button is the stomp on it so damn hard that their foot is going to go through the pad! Because of them... the pads need fixing in under a month.!

just ask if you could play a round...and then tell the arcade staff or whatnot to get them kicked out

this wasn't uncommon @ AI with lines being 2+hours or more

it was difficult to keep track of where your coin/marker was

on the subject of assholes. i wasnt feeling good one day and some fat d00d was hogging the machine and having sex with the bar. i hate that. then a few of my ddr friends dared me to slap his hand of the bar. i did, he fell, we laughed, he got scared and left the arcade. i deno i was mad that day and i hate bar rapers. well ya u guys can hate me if u want i was jus bored

people that don't get off the machine. i dunno, i would think it would be common sense. if soemone has been standing behind you waiting, after you have played 3 songs already, wait a sec. maybe go play another game real quik, and let the other person play! I HATE THAT! RUDE PEOPLES!

here in gummytown it's pretty cut throat. We get so many coins on the machine that we have coins stacked on coins stacked on coins. And it doesn't help when people start putting up more than one coin to signify their turn. So basically our coinline is impossible to follow because of dumbasses. It's pretty much gotten to the point where if you aren't standing there putting your coins in the machine the moment the third song is over, your turn is going to be skipped.

But I just kinda push everyone out of the way and play when I say it's my turn. It works for me though.

Here's my take:

Idiot kids: They are either cool with me(cause i am just a nice guy, but) or are intimidated by me (a pissed off guy [I am 6-5] twice your height ain't pretty for you.)

Line cutters: I know lotsa people who work at my local arcade, the cutters usually do it once, and then never return

Little kids: Never see 'em, but when i play doubles i tend to hit speed bumps every now and again

Stupid people who jump on the other pad: Usually end up on the floor

Good players on the other pad: OK!

I have a problem with a couple of people.

With me its either "He's a nice guy" or "Back away slowly"

I'm pretty tall for my age and i usually play in ragged clothing ya know comfortable things. I have a pretty good level of tolerance. My friends know that. I rarely get REALLY Mad ya know but when i do i'm gonna be on a rampage

Little kids are alright sometimes. If they are on the 2p side i can deal with that. and if they put their hands on the bar on the 1p side its alright i don't bar rape THAT much. as soon as they try to go on my side i'll say could you get off please. That simple and usually they do. The kids around where i live are pretty good mannered.

Its the Adults that REALLY p!$$ me off though. THey always say DDR is gay man. or try to imitate me in a really funky way (by funky i mean F***** UP way) there was this one time where a highschool kid i think soph or junior was really pissin me off he was on the 2p side. Thats alright...Then he was on my side right behind me and i said a lotta times get off please. He just made a comment of how weak "fairys" are. Then i wispered in his ear "GET THE F*** OFF NOW!" Well i didn't even faze him. Then he stood behind me again and when i was going to step on the down arrow i "Accidentally" stomped on his right foot. Then he was yellin at me and said WTF MAN!! WATS WRONG WITH U!! I said its your fault man.

THEN he grabbed my shirt well. I already said how when i'm pissed i get really scary. Well i grabbed his arm and picked him up. i dropped him off the stage

and then (by that time i already failed) his friends walk over to me and start harrasing me and i was about to punch the M F Bast... in the dam face when the owner walked by

he saw what was happening and then i said that they were harrasing me. They got kicked out.... I wanted to hit them though

I was playing on my local Extreme machine when...

C'mon everyone, say it with me!

The birthday kid and all his friends came pouring into the arcade...

And with them comes their idiotic and derogitory comments simply for the purpose of making a mockery of you and lamenting any skill you once felt you had. But what can I do? I can't smack em, parents are everywhere. So I just took it all in, next time I'm going to pay the extra buck and ask one to play an easy song with me just to get him to shut his f*cking mouth.

I had a intersting problem once. I went to my local arcade (with a 5th mix) and i see three people playing which was about normal for the time. So i play and about a half an hour later four skateboarding punks come in. They put a a few coins up. So right now i'm talking with this older guy (about 35) who i play with a lot and they play and we play and everything goes fine for awhile......then when me and the older guy are ready to go, we chose a song and they decided to break the skateboard. Litterally snap it in half. It was LOUD we were saying "come on throw em out". It didn't stop there becuase they had to break it into THREE pieces. We ended up failing from looking for the manager. After that they leftt but there were chips and small pieces all over the floor, a couple were even on the pad.
