ddr superstition!

i want to know if ne one has any ddr superstitions. for example i cant play after someone did doubles. i cant play beetween the hours of 5am and 7am. i wont play if the machine takes an odd number of coins. i must play 3 other bemani games before i play ddr. i must open my first game with a song that starts with the letter "a" and end it with a song that starts with the letter "e". i know its weird but i cant help it

ps. im goin to nickle nickle cypress tomorrow. be there

Sounds more like OCD than superstition. I just play whatever I feel like, no superstition.

Whoa... yeah I think im gonna have to agree with Weston... Anyway the closest I can relate is I can't play more than 4 or games in a row... but that's just cuz i get too tired =).

Hmmm...Thats funny, when I was reading that all i could think of was "Obssesive Compulsive Disorder, Obssesive Compulsive Disorder!" I just always start my game with one of my favorites like A-Minute, Holic, Drifting Away, or something of that sort, but I don't really have any "superstitions" persay. Oh yes, I also NEVER play with shoes on, I mean NEVER. Now I know thats wierd for most people!

As other people have said, this post has "obsessive compulsive disorder" written all over it. You don't have superstitions, dude. A superstition is a belief that if you do or don't do something, it'll have a good or bad consequence (a DDR-related example would be something like you have to play DDR in a certain pair of shoes because they're your "lucky shoes" or something). You can't explain why you do the things you do so obviously there's something other than superstition causing it. Your ideas that you have to play 3 other Bemani games before DDR and the order in which you play songs are definitely sound like they could be signs of OCD. You better go get some help, dude!

HEY! I HAVE THAT SHOE SUPERSTITION! i wont play in anything else but my omar hassen version of vans...i've had then for 2 years now...just about as long as i have been playing ddr. but i think what he's tlaking about are superstitions..i think the word he is looking for is "ritual". and in that case..i always lean on the bar with my back and elbows just before i start a song..any song. i dunno why. something doesnt feel right if i dont..and i then mess up cuz my mind is somwhere else.

for some strange reason i refuse to play on the left pad it doesnt matter if i am playing by myself i always play on the right

I never play in a tourney without my lucky socks and a necklace on..I also can't play extreme unless i'm on the right side..but every other mix i prefer the left side....(I guess to each his own)

I cant play on the right. I have to play on the left prob because at home i always played the ps2 version on the left.
