I think that 11 footers should be songs that you have to lay down on the pad and act like you are having a seizure to pass. Oh wait, thats just PSMO on doubles. Hmm. Maybe you should have to play it using only your head and elbows. yeah thats it... _________________

11 footers should be called 'Flatleys'. In reference to Michael Flateley of Riverdance _________________

Yes, I would have to agree here. The original reason most of us played DDR is to have fun. 10-foot songs are already pushing the line between fun and not fun. Anything beyond 10-feet can no longer be considered something you play for fun rather than something you play just to be competitive. _________________

I appreciate a good challenge. It's what keeps me coming back to DDR, as long as I have some place to put my skills I will enjoy becoming stronger and faster. If DDR were to suddenly stop pushing the limit I wouldn't have a reason to play anymore, sure it's fun to some. But for me it's the challenge I crave. |

I know a good typical example on what an 11 footer should be about.
Speed could be the first thing, but how about almost constant 16th notes and fast constant jumps, e.g. M on S.Heavy. That's one song bad enough to give you a seizure using the keys! |

How about:
10 feet: Devastating or Disastrous
11 feet: Cataclysmic
12 feet: Armageddon or Suicidal or something like that, it doesn't matter, no one would ever pass it. |

10= Supercata
11= Novacata
12= Attempted Suicide
13= I like Chicken!
The only 13 footer would be the "Chicken Song", which is currently being written, by me. Thus I like Chicken would be the name of all 13 footers. Here's the lyrics.
I like Chicken!
Sweet'n'Sour Chicken!
Yummy Yummy Yummy!
*3 hours of drum solo*
I like Chicken! *BOOM badda badda BOOM BOOM*
Immediatly after Cleared appears, which is part of the background, a long run of 1/64 beats will play for 5 seconds. Then you clear it. The difficulties.
Challenging Mode Normal: 11
Challenging Mode Hard: 13
How about "MAX ???"? Or "The Legend of Novacata"? Or the "Chicken Song"? MAX ??? would always have a random speed. _________________

Well, most of the best players in the world have crazy 11 and 12 foot edits. See foy's Era and Drop Out edits respectively.
Seeing how the great players can already AAA or nearly AAA 10 footers, I feel that an 11 and a 12 footer or two are natural and necessary progressions for DDR. _________________

yah, definately 11 and 12. i dunno, i really like the concept of having songs that NO ONE can beat, kinda like IIDX (am i right about that?) and a lot of people are going to lose interest if there aren't harder songs...
i dunno if the bemani ruler V would be considered 11, but i do think its beatable...well, i got about 1/4 to 1/3 in it on my feet, and it was just a stamina thing that stopped me... _________________

I have made a sick sandstorm edit, with all the 1/16 runs. how can I show it? I do not have a website. _________________

We don't need 11 footers. Flashing 10s are plenty. More than plenty. Any harder than LoM and it just starts getting stupid IMO. We do need more ten footers though, the next mix should have a greater portion of 10s in it. Especially considering so many people are at that level now. |

There is more to challenging songs than high bpm numbers and retarded steps.
And all of these suggestions for new names for feet-rankings are just painful to my head. I mean, sweet Jesus.. _________________

I doubt they would go above 10 footers.
If you want something harder than a 10 then bring an edit to the arcade. |
