i was thinking that maybe this could work?

i have a beginner pad at home witch i never use now since it moves like 40 feet when i play cuz now im on heavy, lol. anyways i was wondering if i were to cut in it take out all the wires then find me a welder to make me like a metal pad put the wires back into place make the buttons out of some plastic somewhere. and ka'ching! i could have ametal pad...do you think this could work? course their would be more details butthis is a rough raft

well see my pad is pressure sensitive...i think most are it needs 40 lbs of weight to activate the button (i think) prolly way off but who knows ne ways all i would be doing is jus changing the plastic type cover to metal...i think it would work because i would just make the metal base and put the hard plastic where the arrows should be put the wires under it nicely...then put a metal lining underneath the wires ...but im just scared to try! lol
