You might want to ask the artists RevenG, DE-SIRE, RevenG vs DE-SIRE, OMEGA, ZETA, and ZETA-ZETA, as well as Mitsu-O, and there's still plenty of other names he uses.
Dunno why Naoki does it, but he uses LOTS (i mean */LOTS/* and */LOTS/*) of aliases. Sometimes, his music will sound similar with different aliases:
RevenG - Sakura, Matsuri Japan, EE
DE-SIRE - Healing Vision, Trip Machine and REmixes
RevenG vs DE-SIRE - TSUGARU and remix
Omega, Z, ZZ - Max brothers
Naoki # - Paranoia and REs (the # is the BPM of the song usually).
Naoki feat. Paula Terry - All the paula terry songs
Naoki feat. xxxx - usually with someone else, his name appears normally
Luv Unlimited - For CANDY (star) he worked with KOSAKA Riyu under this alias though
conclusion - naoki uses a -lot- of aliases. just learn them all and you'll be fine

Maybe he's just a schizophrenic (sp?) maniac...
Or maybe he uses so many different aliases to hide the fact that he did like 90% of the soundtrack for DDR... _________________

Yeah, it would look a little strange if every song on DDR said Naoki under it. |

I'm not exactly sure but the way i see it is that Naoki does this to seperate the style of the song. For example
Songs under the artist name RevenG does Tribal style music (Sakura, Exotic Ethinic, Tsugaru,....etc.)
His songs under omega or Z is more of an adrenaline rushing stlye song. and so on and so forth. |

different names = different styles. you got it on the nose Mr. Robot-O.
and i think naoki thinks his real name is probably not cool enough. i dont think Naoki M is even his real name.

Yeah, i thought that ''cause I read it of a Artist:naoki maeda At Kazaa. I forgot Kazaa users are nothing more that a stupid band of liars. obne time, i was lookin for ddr music at random, when it said Think Ya better D and as the artist, it said Oldies! Holy Shi(R)t, can that song be Anymore Ghetto? New age Ghetto? _________________

According to the PS2 Max2 manual.... it is.....
However, Deluxe is correct. Kazaa users are idiots. People mislabel songs and song info all the time. "Gundum Wing Intro" is
1) not the name of a song (I never DL'ed it, but I'm pretty sure it's either Just Communication or Rhythm Emotion)
2) the artist is not DDR (the artist is TWO-MIX)
3) isn't affiliated with DDR at all. (but it'd be sweet if it was).
And yes, Naoki = no.9 (End of the Century)

if Naoki Maeda isn't actually his real name I'd be pretty suprised. Anyhoo it was Beethoven's 9th a.k.a. Ode To Joy. There IS some method to the madness though. Check this out.
Naoki: this is Naoki's trademark Eurobeat style that invariably sounds like Brilliant 2u or Dynamite Rave.
N.M.R: While I'm not sure what the R stands for, this is more his pop dance style. LET TEHM MOVE 4 LIFES!!!!!!!!1
180-270: Paranoia series, the name represents the BPM
Re-Venge/RevenG: the word is ethnic, not tribal. Afronova was tribal, but Bag isn't.
Omega: Omega is the last letter in the Greek alphabet, the letter is also used to represent ultimacy. It can mean either the greatest or the end. This makes sense if you consider DDRMAX was supposed to be the last DDR game
Z/ZZ: Well, nothing comes after Omega in the Greek alphabet, so why not use the final letter of the Latin alphabet? Hmmm.... okay, after that what to do? I know! DOUBLE the letter!
De-Sire: spooky Jungle and Hardcore influenced music.
A lot of the time he only uses a pseudonym once though. For example, we've only gotten one song from d-complex, and only one from Luv Unlimited. It's pretty aparent that he does this to keep his styles distinct. This isn't an unheard of practice in the music world. My favorite example is Ferry Corsten who also goes by System F and Gouryella, as well as producing Marc et Claude.
Now, to address the original topic of this thread, Naoki Underground is meant to suggest the "Naoki" style gone "underground", which is funny 'cause it doesn't really have an underground sound (listen to TaQ for that) but oh well. I guess J-Style is meant to reflect more of a J-pop approach. _________________

I dunno, that whole Naoki M = Konami would a bit much of a coincidence for me. But I suppose stranger things have happened... _________________
