Also, what songs need to stay OUT? (I'm putting Let Them Move in, sorry, you can't sway me on this one ) |

The first time I saw DDR was a long time ago, but it was for a very very short amount of time, but I remember both Let Them Move, and also that whistling music (from How to Play or something). Even though the music for the game is much different, when I re-learned about the game about 4 years later, these songs were still in my mind for some reason. _________________

Well I know a lot of people don't like the song so much because they have heard it 3546768463464 times, but I think Dynamite Rave is pretty key. Also Max 300 as the first pie ever. And Paranoia (the original), just because it is REALLY old school DDR, and was the first of 7 or 8 (?) paranoia brothers. _________________

um... butterfly did DEFINE ddr. you go back 4 years, if someone said ddr, the first thing that came to their mind was butterfly. butterfly was the definning song for ddr. the only thing that rivaled it was boom boom dollar from 2nd mix, and dynamite rave from 3rd mix. most players here dont think like that cuz it seems most of them started playing in the max/max2 era. _________________

Boom Boom Dollar is the greatest DDR song ever made. _________________

Don't forget 1998 and D2R, those songs are about DDR and are great high energy songs. |

Hmm.. What hasn't been said yet.. Can't Stop Fallin' in Love could probably be in there. Afronova would work. Drop Out, for sure. Look to the Sky and Groove, for sure. Drop the Bomb, maybe. It's hard when you take out songs that didn't first appear in DDR. So many good songs from IIDX. _________________

Gotta say Captain Jack(Grandale mix). I don't know many DDR players who don't recognize the songs background.
Rythm and Police too. |

hey c'mon guys, he never said anything about downloading or pirating. for all we know he could have all the soundtracks, purchased legally.
anyway, for songs that defined ddr. just get all the songs from 3rd mix and earlier, then take out anything not specifically made for ddr. |

Why not the licensed songs? The popularity of Butterfly cannot be denied.
Anyway, Keep on Movin' was the first DDR song I ever heard, so that is key for me.
Dead End was a nine-footer for the people back in the day, so that has a place.
Max 300 for sure. The first ten footer and the first extra stage too.
Two that belong due to being over played are Dynamite Rave and EotC.
Old Paranioa and Trip Machine are key, as well.
AM-3P-it's a classic.
Love this Feelin' was the first tempo changer song; an important addition.
Those are the ones that stick out to me. _________________
